Despite the bold box claim that owning this toaster would make life simple, I have found no change in my life at all other than expectedly being able to make toast. I prepped the machine by turning it on "with no cakes or pastries inside" per the instructions to burn off any chemically caused smells. I haven't put any cakes or pastries in there since. And I have a half a birthday cake in the fridge so don't think I couldn't have. I could not have been more cooperative with this thing. My cat didn't come back to life. My water doesn't heat any faster. My clothes are still damp in the dryer after 45 minutes and nobody offered me money or asked me out on a date when I went to the laundry room to check. I didn't even get a call from work saying I didn't have to go in tomorrow. Despite its eerie red glow, there appears to be no magic in this toaster at all. It was quite a promise to make for $19 and I should have expected this, but still. On the flip side, it's definitely prettier than most toasters at this price, heats up quickly, the bagel function is a nice touch, and I can in fact make lots of toast at any time with no notice. In fact I can make so much toast so fast that I'm bringing a duffle bag full of it down to the community center right now to feed all the neighbors.

The only gripe is it's not great for smaller things like English muffins, and even thinly sliced bread often fall in between the bread slots wire because they are spaced like an inch apart.-1* to value for money at this price attention to detail is necessary

Well, it's toasting alright but the finish on it is very shiny... just like chrome, not at all like say a stainless-steel refrigerator. I'm adjusting to its appearance. I'm not saying it's not stainless but stainless tends to have a bit of a greyish look to it. Perhaps it's not "brushed" stainless steel and that's the difference. It looks nice just not what I was expecting because of the photos they show... so three stars.

The design is beautiful, however it did not toast evenly.. one side light and the other side almost burnt.Tried a few times with same result. I returned it.

It was such a reasonable price that I suspected it might not hold up over time. Well, it’s been awhile and it works wonderfully. It accommodates bagels easily. I especially like the button that, when pressed, will pop up the toast early.

Bought this for my son in preparation for an upcoming move into our new condo. I don't eat bread so I only wanted a 2 slice toaster to save counter space. I opened it and tried it out prior to packing it for the move to make sure it works. Immediately I liked the appearance of it. It's a nice looking toaster. It was packaged well and easy to use. I hate that manufacturer put toaster cords in the front of them making it awkward to plug in but cord was long enough to reach the wall in my current home at least. I'll have to see how it goes at the condo. It had a weird smell during first toasting which I assume is probably normal with brand new heated electronic coils and hopefully dissipates with next use. It toasted the bread perfectly on both sides on low setting. I will update after finally moving in to see how it's holding up with prolonged use and add some pix and a video. But I initial impression is positive.
