Would have been a breeze to install if it wasn't for the godawful BMW plastic retainer plate on the RT that is very difficult to remove and install. There's a Youtube on that which helps a little, but it's still a PITA. Other than that it was fine, and my previous one of these lasted a couple of months less than 4 years, which is about as much as can be expected. Better than the OEM Exide battery (also lower CCA rated) which died right on schedule at 3 years. BTW, read the instructions on filling the battery carefully, it needs a wait time before charging.

after getting through the postal service shipping all was awesome. The battery has a higher CCA then the one it replaced my lights are brighter my quad no longer sputtering when the cooling fan kicks in and it seems to be running smoother so it was well worth a few extra dollars for the improvement it has made definitely not going to be purchasing anything else for my off road machines. Awesome Battery

This battery is larger than the factory battery both physically and electrically. The factory battery I removed was a 14ahr battery and this one is 18.9 I think. But it is also slightly taller than the factory battery. It does fit in the battery box on my bike but it’s pretty tight. I was not able to get the plastic cover back on after the battery was in there so I just left it off. The rubber strap fit and that’s all I’ve ever seen on my previous bikes. BMW always seems to go a step further.

This is a reasonably priced battery with a normal life span of 3 to 4 years. I've used these batteries in various motorcycles over the past 12 years and they provide really good starting power until they die. I found that you shouldn't continually keep this battery on a trickle charger, just fully charge it if you haven't run the bike for @ 8 weeks, then take the charge off, and charge it in another 8 weeks. You might get 5+ years. Too much battery charging causes a charge memory problem with ALL batteries.

This lead acid battery comes shipped with the acid separate from the battery. One needs to pour the sulfuric acid from the thin, plastic container provided into the battery prior to charging it, which is fine and expected. The problem is that the box that the battery is packaged in at the factory is approximately 5.5"D x 10.5"H x 7"W, while the shipping box that the factory's box was place in is approximately 17"W x 12"D x 12"H - several times larger than what was necessary to ship the battery. No bubble wrap, newspaper or any other kind of filler was placed into the outer shipping box, allowing the heavy battery to bounce and bang around inside its shipping container - who knows how many times during transit. This irresponsible and thoughtless means of packaging the battery prior to shipment is outright dangerous, considering the contents of the package. So here's where I'm at with this battery: I'm loyal to this particular model and brand of Yuasa battery, as over the years it's proven to be the most reliable on my motorcycle and equipped with the most powerful available cranking amps to start its oversized motor. I inspected the inner box and saw no perceptible damage. The same applies to the battery itself as well as to the acid and its container. Because I have no transportation until I install a battery onto the bike I'm going to go ahead and fill it with acid, wait three hours to start charging it at 2 amps for 10 hours and then check voltage a couple or few times over the next 48 hours to make sure there aren't shorted cells or some other anomaly that may not be outwardly apparent. If I were sane I'd immediately demand a refund or replacement, since it's possible that the plates inside have weakened or cracked from being banged around and that the damage won't become evident until the battery has been further shaken and vibrated while performing its normal function on the bike as it rides over the road.I'm very upset and disappointed at the poor, irresponsible and dangerous packaging, which could have put any handler at risk due to the potential for leaks from the container of sulfuric acid. If I weren't desperate to install the battery - the motorcycle is my only means of transportation and I simply need the battery yesterday and not next week - I'd return it immediately and ask for a replacement but preferably a refund so I can purchase a new one from another provider. I would have gotten it from my usual source - Tristate Battery - but they're out of stock and can't say when they'll get another shipment in.5 stars for each of the several Yuasa batteries of this model I've previously purchased but 0 stars if I could give that low a rating for the dangerously irresponsible - let alone terribly inconvenient - means of packaging this battery for shipment. :-(

Ordered this to replace battery for my Polaris snowmobile. Arrived promptly from Saskatchewan to Ontario (Toronto). Was advertised as BS (bottle supplied) but came sealed and ready to go. I was worried about spillage in delivery with the battery acid not packed separately but battery arrived with no issues and charged to 12.7 V . It was packed well and priced below other Ontario distributors.

Wasn't sure what to think about buying a battery I had to fill with acid. However, this Yuasa battery was rated very high and the system end up being top notch. The sulfuric acid bottles are well sealed and everything is quality shipped. They made it so easy, you pull the 2 lids off of banks of attached multi chamber acid bottles (save the lids that later become your battery sealed chamber tops). The acid chambers are still sealed with the aluminum looking seals (like on some prescription bottles) You simply turn it upside down, line the tube row up with the holes in the top of the battery, and press down. The battery holes have a inner puncher part that breaks the second seal and the sulfuric acid flows down into each chamber. That simple. Let the battery sit and "soak" for 2 hours, then trickle charge (

It is the right battery for my Can am 500 ATV. Don't buy from a dealer, it will cost you at least $50.00 more. Even if they don't stamp their Logo on it. ( same brand ). Install it in the winter and boom it started right up after sitting for over a year.
