OUR ADVICES

1. HOW TO PLACE IT ?
First of all, place the belay glasses on the tip of the nose.

2. SPOT THE CLIMBER
Before the climber reaches the second anchor, spot him !

3. PUT ON GLASSES
When the climber reaches the second anchor, place the belay glasses high on the nose, in front of the eyes (keep one hand on the cord).

4. MORE COMFORT
Thanks to the belay glasses, you can adopt a natural position.

5. TWO FIELDS OF VISION
The thin spectacle frame enables the belayer to look at the climber, and on the surroundings.

6. FIRST USES
After 1 or 2 sessions you’ll enjoy a comfortable vision and you’ll never go belaying without our glasses again!

As expensive as these 2 chunks of glass may be, they are worth every cent! I'm a professional window cleaner and some of my jobs entail washing 3rd story windows from the ground which means my head would normally be cocked at 75 degrees (approx.) giving me a massive headache. These completely changed that! I can now keep great posture while seeing every detail of what I'm doing! They are high quality and durable enough to resist a few drops and being slung around in the work vehicle (but use the provided case when you can). They fit just right for my average sized head and are relatively lightweight!

Soddisfatto dell'acquisto

The glasses are comfortable, light, built to last, and provide a crystal clear image. They're designed to sit low enough without obstructing your view while looking directly at the climber (which the instructions are wise enough to recommend, until they've climbed above a certain height!) while also covering a substantial area of view so looking through them for the longer part of the climb is entirely comfortable. So the product you're potentially buying is very good, 5/5 from me. And now I'm going to go on about the more unsung hero of this buy: the case. You might think - as do a lot of manufacturers - that the case is an afterthought, something that's nice to have but doesn't really matter... And there's a case for that, I don't exactly disagree. But these glasses come with a case nice enough that it becomes a valuable part of the experience, so I want to give it a shout here. First, it has a dedicated carabiner loop (non-climbing carabiner included!) to lash it to your harness for easy carrying. Whether you're heading to a crag and just want to keep your hands free or are climbing in the gym and want to keep everything with you while trading off with another climber, this is very handy. Still, maybe just "par for the course," no more or less than what you'd expect. But wait, there's more! The case zips almost all the way around, so when it's closed, it's fully closed. But, wisely, it also includes an "accordion" layer just inside the zipper - some nylon stitched in so that, with the zipper fully open, the case doesn't flop open flat. Rather, it opens up about 30 degrees plenty of room to get even climb-tired fingers in there and pluck out the glasses, but not so far they're in danger of falling out (assuming you're in a standard vertical position, always zip before climbing upside down). And if you're inclined (yes, it's a slope pun, and no, I'm not pretending it was an accident) to leave the zipper undone during a long session, there's a Velcro strap you can slap across the opening. Again, perfectly suitable for tired, cold fingers to secure or retrieve your glasses easily without great distraction.I would have given the glasses alone 5 stars. The attention to detail with a well-designed case pushed me to write a long review. This is the kind of well-thought-out above-and-beyond-the-product-itself attention-to-detail that really makes me happy as a customer.

These belay glasses are very easy to use and will give your neck great relief from having to crane upward while belaying your partner. They appear to be a good quality, however, I would highly suggest wearing a glasses strap with them as they tended to slide off my smaller face when moving quickly and they seem like they would break pretty quickly if they hit a hard surface.

This worked very well. I had to adjust the nose pads for a more comfortable fit. You don’t need to crank your neck as much but if you’re belaying someone on the ceiling or higher on the wall, you will need to tilt your head.

These glasses are AMAZING. I was skeptical but my neck hurt too much from prolonged belays. I tried a pair and was blown away. They fit comfortably over regular glasses (bifocals.) You see your climber CLEARER! This is an unexpected benefit for those who wear glasses as the sight line now is directly through the center of your regular glasses. The focus is perfect as opposed to the image you get trying to tilt your head up and looking through the top of your lens. I will always take a pair with me!

I had the opportunity to try these and the Belaggles. I find this brand much more comfortable. The nose piece is softer and pliable as opposed to the belaggles so they didn't pinch and the frames are more flexible and lightweight without being loose so they feel comfortable on the ears. Overall they feel lighter and less obtrusive than the belaggles. I also like that they fit over glasses. The prisms seem a little smaller than the belaggles but the view is pristine
