My sensor did not have the retainer (on my connector not the part) so I will have to keep an eye on this. The part looked slightly different but still worked with no codes set. I think the original code that came on was P340. It didn't come back on again but I replaced it anyway. It also didn't set the code after the replacement.

This part fits onto my 98 Ford Ranger 4.0 V6. It was a pain to get the amount on, but not the product's fault.Other than that, it eliminated the camshaft position code I was getting.

Part would have worked, and it matched perfectly but when I removed the original part, I found that it was destroyed as well as the synchronizer broken. I had to return this item and purchase the entire synchronizer. No issue with the returns processes.

I own a 2000 ford ranger 3.0 automatic. Amazon fit chart stated it was a perfect, but it was incorrect. This unit was either designed for the four cylinder or the 4.0 V6. Customer service was timely and my refund was very quick.

I have a 2002 F150, 4.2 litre V6. My truck would stall sometimes when I would try to take off from a stop sign/ traffic light, when driving down the road if I would accelerate, the engine would run very rough, I would actually lose speed, sometimes on the highway, it would feel like the truck was misfiring, the engine would sputter a lot. Check engine code came up as cam shaft position sensor. I installed this product, and now my truck runs great. It took me about an hour to install it.

Used this on my 2000 ford f150. 4.2L , so far its working great it went right on. No problems at all.
