I’ve been using the ZealSound XLR/USB dynamic microphone for a while now, and I’m really impressed with its performance. Setting it up was quick and easy, whether on my PC or phone, and the sound quality is crystal clear. The built-in mic gain control allows me to adjust levels effortlessly, and the mute button is a great touch for quick silencing when needed. The RGB lighting adds a nice aesthetic to my setup, especially for gaming and streaming. The included boom arm stand is sturdy and holds the mic in place perfectly. I also appreciate the headphone jack for real-time monitoring, which helps a lot when recording vocals or streaming.Whether for gaming, podcasting, or even singing, this mic delivers excellent audio quality without any background noise. It feels well-built and offers great value for the price. Definitely a great addition to my setup!

So yeah, I will open up by saying that I think the price is high. It's in known brands with much better materials used in their construction.First impressions were low. I already knew it had the standard fair elcheapo boom arm, but they actually work pretty well. What I had not anticipated, was just how cheap it feel in the hand. The dropped my expectations to the floor, but read on.Despite having almost completely lost interest in this thing, I did my do diligence and hooked it up. This is where things get interesting for me. Inside this ho hum body, must be a decent element because it's actually good. No, not 300.00 good, but better than 60.00 good. I usually relegate budget mics to non recording duty, but I can record with this. I'm not a singer, so I didn't try that, but I do voice over work and it was actually nice for that. That is big for something this cheap. I've only said that about one other budget mic so far and while that one was much nicer looking and feeling, I'd use this one first.

A good starter mic for a new gamer or podcaster. There’s way way way way worse quality out there but there is also much better than this mic. If you are using it to just communicate with friends while gaming then it works great, the sound quality is average however if you want a mic for recording, podcasts, singing or what have you I suggest a better quality mic as this one doesn’t pick up fantastically and may end up sounding a bit grainy. The set up is fairly easy can plug directly into pc tower or through an audio interface which was my way of using and it works just fine. Decent price for decent quality

Pros: Able to move it easily with the arm. Great arm length Good sound Good cord length Attached with no issues to my desk and has not loosened at all over the last month.Cons: Not a fan of the mute button or spot (not a button but an indent on that is touch sensitive) Very very bright, when In not using it I unplug it. Muted the light is a lot of red light, and when its on its very colorful and just too distracting to the eyes.So far I wish there was an actual on off switch instead on needing to plug it into a switch that has an on off button to turn off the lights when I'm not using it. The mute button is hard to find if your not use to using it and your lights are off in the room you feel around but its not obvious until the light turns red.But over all its been great I love how far I can move it out of my way and how close I can move it when I need a mic.

The KD8 Boom Mic worked well, it is simple to set up and is very much a "plug - and - play" microphone. The sound quality was decent, and according to the people I used it with my voice sounded softer and more isolated. Which, is a pro for me, considering that I usually have my TV on and my headset picks up a lot of background noise. It worked well for Zoom, but I did have a few issues with Discord and OBS studio.I think that is due to the fact that I use multiple microphones for different things while I am streaming. So most likely it can be chalked up to Operator error. The touch-mute feature is very nice, and is really responsive. Sometimes I accidentally muted myself while trying to adjust the gain because it is so touchy! I don't think this is a bad thing personally, but others might. The stand itself is quite sturdy, however some of the insertion points were not fully cut out, and I had to remove the plastic and finish the cut myself. Again, no big deal. But I can see how this might prove to be a problem for someone who may not have the proper tools to do this.Overall construction however is nice and sturdy.

This microphone offers excellent recording quality that stands out for its clarity and noise reduction. I use it to teach online classes, and my students can hear me perfectly without any distortion or background noise, which has been an issue with other microphones I’ve tried. The recordings are consistently clean, free of buzzing or static, and it does an impressive job of filtering out outdoor sounds, making it a reliable choice even in less-than-ideal environments. I must mention that on one of my computers, it disconnects, but it has only happened twice. Also, be careful when moving the microphone as you can accidentally press the mute button. I wish it wasn’t a touch button. While the microphone itself performs exceptionally well, the arm isn’t the sturdiest and could use some improvement in build quality. However, this minor downside doesn’t take away from the mic’s overall performance. It’s a fantastic option for online courses, meetings, podcasts, or even gaming, as it delivers professional-level sound at an affordable price. If clear and reliable audio is your priority, this microphone is a solid choice.

The build quality is nice on the arm and microphone, but the microphone itself is not comparable that is slightly more expensive. In testing, the microphone was lacking in the higher frequencies. There was an obvious difference between this microphone and my snow ball microphone. However, for the price having both a microphone and an arm or is a good deal and a good starter option for someone. It's function is easy to operate but just leaving on the high quality sound.

I recently set up the microphone , and while I didn’t follow the instructions, the setup was straightforward. However, I ran into a problem with the mic arm. The section that holds the microphone has a knob that doesn’t tighten—it just keeps turning, which means the microphone keeps slipping out. I managed to secure it by pushing the mic's rod further into the stand and wedging it behind another part to keep it stable. I also wrapped it up with some tape. I’m not sure if I’m missing something in the assembly, but it doesn’t seem likely.I also wish the clamp came with a 2x2-inch fabric or “rug” to protect the table from potential warping or scratches. There is a thin rubber on the top but I wish it was thicker. In terms of sound, I did some audio testing, and the mic captures that “podcast” or radio DJ bass sound. It’s sensitive enough to pick up my voice at various distances, so I can keep it out of the camera frame while teaching. That said, it’s also sensitive to faint taps on the table, which might be an issue. I made it less sensitive with Windows sound options. As an online instructor, I’ve noticed that my students prefer this microphone over my previous one, which was twice the cost. The LED feature has some cool neon colors, but unfortunately, there’s no option to turn off the volume knob light.I would recommend it to anyone looking for decent sound quality at an affordable price. Overall, the microphone is great for the price, though the issue with the arm loses it a star in my rating.

I was kind of shocked at this microphone, I expected it to be pretty average with lots of noise (hiss) but it's blown me away at how good it sounds. It's still not as good as a Rode USB mic or similar, but it's also at least half the price. The good; Great build quality for a budget mic with lots of options to plug into multiple devices, clarity is great even at full gain. Nicely packaged with a decent instruction manual in multiple languages. XLR is a nice touch for a more serious user that has a tight budget and comes with very basic boom arm. Being a dynamic microphone it doesn't pic up much room noise, this is nice if your room isn't sound isolated. Now onto the problems; The headphone volume control is kind of weird, I expected it to control the volume of the real time monitoring output, but it changes the output volume of the device it's connected to instead. A little disappointing as the monitoring volume is quite low. However, at the same time it is nice when connected to something like a phone (works great on my new Android btw) as you can play audio from the phone directly to your headphones. This isn't a problem but when using it in XLR mode none of the dials or knobs function (or RGB), everything is controlled through your interface. This is fine, but something to be aware of. It is also a top-addressed cardioid pattern (you speak into the very top part). This isn't a problem for me, but may be for some peoples setups and you should be aware of this.All-in-all, this is a remarkably well made budget microphone. It is particularly well suited for someone that wants to record directly onto their phone or someone who just wants a clear mic for streaming or gaming without purchasing a full audio interface.
