Bought for my new delta 725-36 t2 and fit as it should. Very clean cross cuts. I like using zero clearance inserts and if you haven’t used one before I recommend buying one

My table saw is a Delta 36-725 T2 -Excellent product, although I question the incredibly poor packaging for an item that can be so easily damaged in transit. My 3-pack was in a plastic bag, which was then stuffed into a cheap Amazon mailer. I got lucky, and my order arrived in pristine condition. -Following the directions was easy enough. I spent about 10 minutes gently sanding the edges of the first plate to achieve a perfectly snug fit. -After I leveled the Zerosert plate with the saw table, I tested it out by ripping and crosscutting a maple board. As expected, it worked perfectly. I'm thrilled to see that the plate helps keep the riving knife aligned with the saw blade. If your riving knife does not properly line up, it's a simple fix that's found in manual. Note that you will need a 4mm hex wrench. -I marked the underside of the plate with a Sharpie to denote which blade that plate is matched with.

I'm an experienced woodworker. Do it for a living. Experienced at making jigs, permanent and situational. Like the value of my saw - Delta 36-725. Always frustrated with devising a zero clearance insert of my own, and been getting by on using the blue tape method when cutting. It works, but what a pain. Spent an hour one day looking into how hard/easy it would be to make a zero clearance insert, in shop, for the saw. Should never have wasted my time.First impressions when unboxing. First, it came in a box, a proper sized box for that matter. Well packed with the bubble type filling. Inserts came in a plastic wrap, with an instruction sheet included. Take them out, and saw upon inspection these inserts are well machined (likely a CNC), clean edges, finger hole sanded smooth, no fuzz on machined edges. That, having worked with MDF, is a big deal. Don't be scared off that they are MDF, these things are actually stiffer than the stock thin steel plate that came with the saw. Read the instructions. Always read the instructions.Installation. Have only installed one, but I did lay all of them out on a known dead flat surface (my tablesaw) and could see they are all machined identically along the critical mounting rabbet so I suspect that I will not have to fuss with re-adjustments on leveling between different insert/blade combos. The fit in the saw opening for me was snug. In fact, it wouldn't seat fully at first. Thought perhaps the blade was hitting the cutout under the insert (another nice little feature on these) to allow for the blade. Clamped the insert down, turned the saw on, then off. Nope, still rocking. Found the spot where the insert wasn't seating fully, took a little 120 sandpaper wrapped around a piece of squared wood, did a little sanding. Test. A little more. Bingo, snug fit. Fully seated the insert, made sure it was seated flat on the adjustment screws, leveled it, slid my fence over the insert. Turned on the saw, raised it through the insert and there you go. All of that took 15 minutes. Much better fit than the original inserts, meaning much more accuracy as a zero clearance insert.TLDR - Some things it's best to just pay for someone else's time and effort in R&D, prototyping, and figuring out the exact machining than it is to futz with it yourself. Don't reinvent the wheel, iow. You want a good quality insert, with good value? Buy these, follow the instructions, and do it right the first time. Highly recommend. BTW ... would love to see a dado insert only 3 pack offered. Maybe there is one and I missed it, but I use - generally - 3 different dado stack sizes in my work and though I could buy another pack of three with 2 having the riving knife cutout, it would be better not to have that for a dado stack.

With just a touch of sanding with 220 grit it dropped right in. Well made and perfectly flat and smooth. I would recommend this product

Before this, I had hand-made throat plates, so that's my basis of comparison. The best thing about them is that all 3 in the set are made the same, so once you get your height adjustment screws set for 1, you can swap to others w/o having to adjust. This takes a lot of the pain of switching blades out, and so is a huge improvement over my handmade ones that varied hugely for height. They also have through-holes so that you don't need to remove the plates to adjust the screws: some of my hand-made ones I got these right, and others I didn't, so that as well is nice.Material is MDF, which I don't love, but its a lot more stable than plywood: my plywood plates tend to deform over time until unusable. I've only had these guys around 1.5 months, but I don't expect movement problems given the material.Installation is mostly easy: as others say, you'll need to sand and you can get a very strong, very nice pressure fit by doing so. The amount of sanding is small, so easily-controlled hand sanding all that is needed. When fitting to opening, the instructions tell you to set height screws to minimum height, and if that hits your blade, adjust them up. I tried this, and it did not work for me at all: very hard to get all 4 screws up exact same height, and I couldn't easily & reliably tell if blade was still effecting fit or not.Far better to leave screws on lowest setting, and remove your blade entirely if it hits. What I actually did was swap in a 8.25 inch blade, sand to fit, then I raised the 8.25 inch blade slightly until I ate away some material so my 10" blade would fit, but w/o going all the way through, then swapped back in the 10" to finish the zero clearance kerf.Don't think having a smaller blade necessary at all, but would highly recommend adjusting throat fit with no blade if your normal blade won't go down far enough, rather than fooling with screws as mentioned in instructions.

I just did not have the time to make my own zero clearance throat plates for me 36-725-T2 Delta Table saw. I found these inserts and am very pleased with them. When I first tried to install on in my saw, it did not fit well. I got a piece of 80 grit sandpaper and sanded the marks that were left on the insert by my saw. Then it fit like a dream. love the addition of the holes to access the leveling screws too. It made it much easier to get the insert level with the table. You can't go wrong with these inserts. If you do end up having to sand them a little go light, remember you can take the wood off, but you can't put it back. It only took about 2 or strokes with the 80 grit paper to get the fit right.
