  • Exclusive patented ChatterBait bladed swim jig design and stainless hex-shaped ChatterBlade

Designed by Elite Series pro Brett Hite in conjunction with Japanese luremaker Evergreen International, the ChatterBait Jack Hammer is among the most refined and highly anticipated baits to ever hit the U.S. market. Its flat-bottom, low center of gravity head and super thin, strong stainless steel blade enable the Jack Hammer to start vibrating quickly and move in an erratic, side-to-side motion, just like a frantic baitfish. Its signature head and blade combo allow it to deflect off cover very easily and skip easily beneath docks and overhanging trees like no bladed jig before.

Perfect action for bass, this color excellent in stained water. Add a 4 1/2" blade minnow in bluegill and hang on. And the blue cats love them too.

I caught a Chanel catfish in the occoquan River. This bait is incredible it works. Zman Jackhammer is the best of all chatterbait on the market .

First off, the original Chatterbait is still an excellent bait, but if you are in tighter spots (i.e., branches, overhangs, rocks, structure), then the Jack Hammer is the way to go! The primary benefit of the Jackhammer over the original Chatterbait is its quick action... even on the downfall the blade begins to chatter, allowing you to alert bass early and get them to strike often. I have caught about the same quality of bass on both the orignal Chatterbait and the Jack Hammer Chatterbait, but I have caught a higher quantity since switching to the Jack Hammer.Pros:- Colors and trailers all work well regardless of water type, water stain, foilage, etc.- The chatter begins the instance the lure hits the water.- Slighlty larger presentation also attracts fish quicker.Cons:- Price variance of ~$15 between the original Chatterbait and the Jack Hammer Chatterbait.

Only 4 stars because these things are SO expensive. This is a lure that can replace both your jigs and your spinnerbaits... but unlike either of those baits (which are generally VERY weedless and never get snagged) this bad boy leaves that hook hangin for all the world to see. Its nice because if you get a strike your gonna eff that bass up, but this is a lure that PRODUCES in heavy cover but can't get OUT of the heavy cover. If you've never fished a chatterbait, use a few Original Chatterbaits first to try to get the hang of it. I lost like five jackhammers last year and consider myself pretty OK at not making stupid casts. But in terms of vibrating jigs, the Jackhammer is the very best in the business.I've fished this in very clear water, and when you give this thing a good rip, every fish in the pond turns to see wtf is happening. Whether they bite it is a whole different story, but it gets their attention, that is for sure.

I was never a big fan of chatterbaits until I started using Jackhammers this year. It has become my go to search bait. Only issue is after heavy use the paint starts chipping on the blade where the blade comes into contact with the head. It doesn’t really matter as the bass still slam it.
