Easy replacement, sealed and worked perfectly first time out. Installation is easy, but will require splicing if you do not want to rout wires all the way back to the control board. I just spliced, protected the splice against corrosion with dielectric grease and then shrink wrapped to seal it up nicely.

My pool was a salt water pool for several years. The salt water cell ultimately failed, and I have never replaced it. I now add chlorine a couple of times a week and I am happy running my pool as a chlorinated pool now. My Jandy LXi heater stopped working a year or so ago and when I looked up the error message, my manual said that my temperature sensor was bad. I finally got around to ordering this guy and installed it. That was a bit of a chore as none of my manuals nor the instructions that came with this unit showed where the temperature sensor goes in my particular unit. The good news is that while removing things looking for the temperature sensor I found the hi-limit temperature sensors. I finally found the right hole. But, the old temperature sensor was terribly rusted and came apart as I was trying to remove it. I had to remove it in pieces.I have temporarily installed the new temperature sensor and I was able to use my spa immediately. Now I have to dig out my wetvac because the blower in the heater has sucked in all sorts of leaves over the years. I removed as many as I could while I had the power off. I want to clean out the rest.I have also purchased some shrink wrap tubing from Amazon. That plus small zip ties that I already own are what I need to finish my installation.

Exactly what I needed. This was a genuine factory replacement part. Pool heater was registering 112 degrees, although the water was in fact only 84 degrees. Pool company wanted $125.00 to come and take a look. Came with detailed instructions. The hardest thing was finding a screwdriver small enough to free the old wires. Took 15 minutes to remove the old sensor and install the new one. Works like a charm. Very Happy.
