Zoeller's Model N282 Waste-Mate Cast Iron Submersible Sewage/Effluent Pump features a cast iron, non-clogging vortex impeller. The pump housing, motor housing, and base are made of ASTM Class 25-30 cast iron with 25000# tensile strength. The Model N282 also features a single phase, oil filled, hermetically sealed motor with automatic reset thermal overload protection. The Waste-Mate has a corrosion resistant powder coated epoxy finish. The pump also features a carbon and ceramic rotary shaft seal with stainless steel wetted parts. The Waste-Mate's screws, bolts, handle, guard, float rod, and arm and seal assembly are all made of stainless steel. There are no sheet metal parts that will rust or corrode. The pump has a 2-Inch discharge. The maximum temperature for sewage or dewatering is 130 Degree Fahrenheit. The major width of Zoeller's Model N282 is 13-9/16-Inch. The major height is 18-13/16-Inch.

I purchased one back in November and had my folks install it in mid March unfortunately no one noticed that the pump didn’t have the float switch like advertised. 1 week later it burned out. I called Amazon and they sent me another and I sent the old one back. The 2nd pump didn’t come with the float switch as well

We have used this model sump pump for years and it does a great job. We ordered this as a replacement. So the 1 star rating is not for the pump itself. It is because the picture shows this comes with the attached float. It does not. We needed the float so had to return.

Product that was sent did not have the same serial number and did not look like the pump shown.
