I originally got this as a birthday gift for my 7 year old niece who is really starting to get involved in softball. The net area is definitely big enough with the ball holder as well not having to bend down every time to get a new ball for her to hit. Sturdy enough too with a good weight. Easy to put together and break down as well. With it having a lot of different ways for her to target hitting she was super excited for it. Great gift and very useful.

My son practiced hitting on this and it works good as long as you are close. It is a nice size, it's not small by any imagination but the ball can still get around it if you are say 10ft plus from the net. Just stay close when hitting because the ball can pop-up. If it's a kid that is just hitting straight and hitting grounder then you're fine. Also hood for pitching when using the included square attachment.

I have ordered two of these sets--one for my home and one for my father's home, where I've been spending a good deal of time lately--and I couldn't be more pleased. Set up is easy, thanks to the simple construction and clear directions. And the equipment is strong enough to withstand my hardest hit balls off a tee. The four anchors, which look like garden stakes, work perfectly in more clayey soils like we have in CO. In SC, I've had to reinforce the front ones with a couple larger garden stakes from ACE. The strike zone is easy to put on over the net and relatively easy to adjust. I can't quite get it as low as I'd like, but it's still nice having that target. The basket for balls is quite handy and a nice addition.You might consider getting just the net and investing in a good tee; the one that comes with the set is a little too easy for me to knock over if I hit under the ball. And I personally decided to invest in a bucket of balls rather than using the dozen that came with the set, which aren't the best quality. They'd be fine for kids, and my step-brother was more than happy to take them, but I like using real balls to help me assess my contact.I'll add that customer service is fantastic. With the second set I bought, the basket for the balls was defective. They immediately sent a replacement part. That turned out to be the wrong part--they sent me a net--but when I contacted them about it, they were just as friendly and shipped the correct one (and told me just to keep the net or donate it to goodwill). They even provided a tracking number for me.Overall? Pleased as punch.

Update: after a couple back and forth emails they replaced the part and the product has been performing nicely.Setup was easy and the equipment seems nice quality for the price. But... the tee is missing the cone part that holds the baseball. The tripod tee stand was included, but no flexible cone to place on top of it. If you can send me the missing piece I'll be happy to update my review. Thanks.

easy to set up and take down. Perfect travel bag. The only complaint is that when my sons team used the tee to practice, the tee split in the rubber part. Your talking 5 kids hit off it and it didn't hold up. But I would still say it was worth the buy. (The company reached out to me after writing my review to send me a replacement rubber for the tee. The customer service was impeccable!! The second tee sent is holding up much better than the original.)We duct taped the tee and its fine. The net its self is very durable. And the ball holder is great! My 9 year old loves pitching at the net! Its perfect for my husband to pitch at also
