They look good online but they're kinda cheap plastic when you get them. They work, but they're not as good as a Welch Allyn (unfortunately those are just so expensive). I bought these and tried them, and kept thinking maybe my eyes were struggling up close - I'd had lasik done a few months ago. Then was able to use some Welch Allyn's at a clinic I went to and the difference blew my mind. If you have experience these might work to see obvious changes, but if you're learning they're honestly going to make it harder for you.

The otoscope was fine. No real complaints there. It was nice and bright and easy to use.The optholmoscope however was awful. The light did not get bright enough and was too narrow to properly see eye structures. It was a great source of stress for me and I believe that had it been better made, it would have made learning to use it so much easier.

This is a great set for assessments if you are in nurse practitioner, PA, or medical school! Not going through the hassle of switching from otoscope to ophthalmoscope head is a dream! As, I broke another brand bc I turned the head the wrong direction when switching — oops. I did have trouble inserting one AA battery but bought a different brand of battery and it fit just fine!I was able to view the tympanic membrane of all members of my family with ease and was impressed with the white light cast for illumination. I’ve used other otoscopes that cast a yellow light and didn’t appreciate the visual it created-Having extra otoscope tips is fabulous! Some brands only provide you with two and they are one size. Having a 2.4 mm and 4 mm tip allowed for an effective exam.Also thankful for the replacement bulbs.The ophthalmoscope is super easy to use -Can’t go wrong with this set! Functional and priced right for money crunched students!I recommend this product for all!

I only bought this one because I needed to replace my original one that was stolen from my car..... I originally had the ADC one. Since I needed one fast I tried to save a few buck and try out this one because it was way cheaper. Bottom line..... this is basically the same as the ADC one I had, it was just about 150-200 dollars cheaper...... however, it works fine! If you know what you’re looking for, and know how to use an ophthalmoscope this will be enough to see the structures and identify pathology.... if you’re a student, it may be more challenging, but not to the point where the 650 dollar Welch Allen will help you see things any better..... I would start with this, then maybe sample some of the other classmate’s, if they have another brand.... then you can always upgrade later.... if you’re like most students, your probably already hurting for spare cash anyway, so I would suggest you just get this and go from there....

I bought this set to use in my ACNP program. It is extremely nice and very inexpensive! It got my through my assessment class without any problems or issues. I can see inside the ears, eyes, and nose very clearly. It is very easy to use and honestly I will probably continued to use it once I graduate if it is ever need it. Definitely recommend!

Put batteries in the otoscope and the switch wouldn't turn off. It continuously stayed on. I asked for a replacement because I need this for my nurse practitioner immersion weekend on December 13 and it won't be here until December 21?Updated review: Company offered to overnight the ophthalmoscope which was above and beyond so I gave them 5 stars.
