This CHWAY trimmer line is innovative and definitely a design that is on the right track for extra cutting strength and efficiency. The add say 30% more cutting and after running one spool through my Ryobi 40 V portable weed eater 's bump head I am convinced! I always soak all my rolls of new line with WD 40 to rehydrate any possibility of dried out and brittle line, but this line seems strong and cuts easily- dried and tall weed stems with no problem. This .095-inch Pentagram shaped line is definitely an improvement for weed and grass cutting and the price is right for the time saved in re-loading spools of line over and over with brittle round type lines. Good product at a good price! Great find!

We don't have a lot of growth right now to try this out on, but there were a few taller weeds with thicker stalks. I say there were because this string cut right through them. I've never used this type of star string before, but I will from now on, especially for heavier weeds. So far, I'm pretty impressed. The price is reasonable for this heavier duty string. Recommended.

I'm guessing it will work very well... I cannot use it here yet as we are still under many feet of snow but if I'm wrong about it I'll update. It is a thick and very strong cord. I tried "folding" it and it was difficult to have the cord fold on itself completely. I took my big and best scissors and it was also difficult to cut.I'm guessing, as it is hard material, it could maybe be difficult to make the cord longer by just pushing the weed eater on the ground. Maybe I'll need to pull on it but that's too be seen.I think it is worth trying it.Excellent buy.

I haven’t had the chance to use this trimmer line yet, but just from handling it, I can tell it’s much more durable than others I’ve been using. The shape and thickness look like they’ll make a big difference in cutting through stubborn weeds and thick grass without constantly breaking. The 150-foot spool is a great value, and I’m excited to put it to the test once the snow clears. If it performs as well as it looks, this will definitely be my go-to trimmer line!

This line cuts faster than round line and it also sounds differently on the trimmer, it doesn't seem to last quite as long when using, but the center core is smaller diameter, but I have to tell you I love this 5 pointed trimmer line.

Good weedeater line. This particular package was wound tight for a while, it seems. Once I got it installed and not wrapping around the weedeater head, it worked fine. The line held up well and cuts good. No complaints other than it was an effort to get it installed. I recommend cutting the leads coming out of the head to no more than 2 or 3 inches, so it doesn't wrap itself around the head.

Most of these types of products are sort of generic. This spool works just as well as any other.

Over the years I have found the weed eater trimmer string has decreased in quality yet increased in price. When I saw this new version of an old favourite I thought I would try it out.Now keep in mind that is is March and I live in Atlantic Canada so they weeds are at a minimum right now. I did try winding it onto the trimmer spool head, no problem. To test this, I actually went into the greenhouse and hacked away at the left over cucumber vines and pepper plants. I was pleasantly surprised with the ease this trimmer string hacked the plants down. Again, keep in mind, that these plants are old and dead and crunchy but it was still impressive.I can not wait to try this out this summer but I anticipate only good things!

REVIEW - 095 Weed Eater String, 150-Feet Pentagram Shape Heavy Duty Trimmer Line, for Electric & Gas Weed Wacker Using Trimmer String .095, Used for Stubborn Weed Cleanup, Lawn Repair and Edge TrimmingI think this is a not bad line of string for the trimmer, the price is a little less than some I have been getting in the past. I like the sharp feeling of the edges of this line, this makes me think it will possibly give a advantage when cutting. I do find the line to be stiff and wants to curl up when you unwind it, versus other lines that are not stiff, but more of a rigidity and keeps a more straight composure, then of course once the line spins are full speed, you will not see this, but could be annoying for when doing things at low speeds.Overall, its a cheaper price to pay to try out a new line, it looks like it will do the trick for sure, but will update is I am more impressed :)

The Chway pentagram shaped .095" trimmer line is unlike any I've used before. I've tried round single filament and twisted braided lines, but this single filament line has five rather sharp cutting edges. I have an Ego trimmer with a PowerLoad head so it'll be interesting to see how well this line works with it. I'd try it out but everything is buried in snow right now. From what I see it's a good quality line that should cut better, but I'll have to update this review once I get to use it a bit.

I used this in my Milwaukee fuel trimmer. I cut grass and weeds great. It was easy to load into the trimmer head. It did not feed as easily as round string, but it was better on weeds and tall grass. It did not last quite as long as round string, but that is the tradeoff for better cutting in the tall grass and weeds.
