This looks just like the hornet/wasp nest that is on the eve of my neighbor's house. It is actually about the same size, because they never knocked it down. This actually caused several smaller nests to appear in the peaks of my roof and unfortunately my roof is so high, I cannot reach where they are.Right now it is still cold weather, so I am not hanging it outside yet. Feeling the material, I will not be hanging this where it will be in direct rain, as I feel it will absorb the rain and mold. Also, I feel.it may fall apart. I may be wrong, so we will see.For the cost, I am hoping it works as it says since it does look like what hangs next door.

Awesome design and quality, looks good on the porch and really works well for keeping the carpenter bees away. Holds up to wind and weather well.

This is a review for: 1 Pack Woven Reed Wasp Nest Decoy Waterproof 10 Inches Fake Wasp Nest Trap Natural Wasp Deterrent Outdoor Hanging for Wasps Hornets Yellow JacketsI have successfully used a paper-mache version of this product in the past, but it fell apart during a storm. I have been looking for a sturdier replacement for a long time. This one is roughly the size of a football. The hemp rope is thick and expertly woven. I would have prefered a sturdier rope to hang it with, but I can fix that. All in all, this is well made and should keep the hornets from nesting off my porch.

I have had great success with fake nests in the past but I have not yet tried this style (my others are 3d printed in a plant based material from a maker and they are much smaller). I live in the woods and we always have a variety of flying buzzy stinging things around. I'm generally able to coexist, even with pets and a slight allergy but I'd prefer they build off my house from the start so none of us have to worry about it. I am not interested in using sprays or poison and avoid them (I realize sometimes, if used correctly, it can be a necessary tool) so fake nests have been a great alternative. This nest is a lot bigger than the others I have which may be a pro or con depending on your situation. (I have included a picture with a permanent marker for scale.) I like that it's made from a natural material that is weather resistant. My only concern is that one part of the listing says waterproof. I know waterproof and water resistant are used interchangeably sometimes even though they aren't but some clarification would help because waterproof also often indicates that some sort of treatment was applied, which would make the product less appealing. Overall I am pleased with the look of this fake nest and will be putting it out in the Spring. (The trick to using these is putting them up before the wasps/hornets/bees emerge. They don't really work if they have already started to build so make sure to put them up when it's been above 50 degrees for at least 5 or so days or if you start to see them flying around.) If I have any unexpected issues, I will update my review.

I love that this is made of reeds and not paper. We will pug this up by our porch near the pool, so it needs to be sturdier. It is winter, so the wasps aren’t out. I’ll come back and report on the success with keeping the wasps away when warm weather hits.
