The cam lock system is way better than the cam locks from the "hardware" store. The teeth really dig in and the brass roller in the cam seems to help snitch/lock in the strap. I was expecting hooks, but it's not that hard to loop the strap onto itself. Overall, I like cam locks over ratchet straps for a lot of light tie down work.

More than a few times I have loaded a piece of furniture in my SUV that has been sticking out the back just enough that having these handy would have been wonderful! These work great for keeping the trunk door down and tight so that I'm not worried about the falling out. They were easy to wind through the loop holds in my SUV and ratchet down so things were secured. I wouldn't recommend these for towing or anything like that. They definitely work well for, what I consider, normal hauling purposes.

If you move equipment, gear, or anything that needs a secure strap-down, you should give these a look. I have several cam buckle lashing straps, but they eventually wear out and some of them don't bite down as well as they should because half of the buckle is static or the teeth on the buckle aren't aggressive.The Rollercam straps I received were surprisingly well made and secured our loads well! They are easy to roll and store, lay out, feed through and pull tight. The roller helps it lock down tight. I highly recommend these for anyone needing a quality set of straps for all of their gear.They also have a lifetime warranty, so that is a huge plus.
