I bought these to place overtop young native perennials I planted in a new garden to protect the young plants from critter nibbles while they get established. I like the larger size of these mesh covers to allow more room for plant growth before I remove the cover. Many others I looked at were too short and too small around for my preference. The thin mesh allows plenty of sunlight and rain through while remaining fairly sturdy. I ordered two 10-packs: one came with 30 metal stakes and the other came with 29 metal stakes—so most I was able to secure in the ground with 3 metal stakes each. So far it appears that no critter has tried to pull them up to get to the plant inside. I am happy with my purchase.

After using these for a full season in my garden, I can recommend them. They’re sturdy, easy to use and definitely protected my plants against voles, rabbits, birds, etc. And they look like they’ll last for many seasons.
