They work as intended if you have a small forward that needs a replacement there you go that's one way

I had no issues with these. I picked them up to replace micro USB ports on a couple things. I only really wanted them for power, so I can't speak to their ability to transmit data, but hooking up the +5v and GND lines works exactly as expected.

Great little USB-C board! However, if you want to do a USB-C PD mod, this doesn't have the proper 5.1k ohm resistors. You can add one, but wiring up a surface mount resistor is a nightmare. So just make sure it's the right one for your use case!

I decided that I am so done with soldering the actual USB parts with .25 mm pins. These use standard .1 in headers, so projects are a snap. I now have a 5 type set.
