I have watched videos on how to repair plastic to the point that I was ready to try. So I bought this repair kit. It comes with so many pieces. There was nothing else I had to get to do my project. It is so easy to use and works great. I was able to repair the plastic and make it look new again. So many applications: I fixed my brother's truck bumper, but it could be used for flower pots, atv/utv plastics...anything!

Pretty basic but yet versatile kit with reinforcement mesh and different kinds of welding sticks. And the iron is awesome having multiple settings. It definitely gets hot enough. I was using it for soldering too!

I liked that it has different heat ranges and heats up quickly,went you’re “plastic welding “ it’s a slow process of heating the damaged area and filler rod to make the repair don’t get me wrong it does get the job done.the repair was to a gas tank for a commercial zero turn mower because a replacement 5 gallon gas tank was very very expensive.

I've been using the smoothing plates on my hot stapler and it wasn't really cutting it. I had an old soldering iron I converted to finish welds but it didn't get hot enough and ot was slow. Thus has 2 settings and the high really is high. If you're not careful you'll overheat the work area and make the plastic sag or bubble. Practice with junk plastic to get a feel for it. Dollar store cutting boards are cheap and plentiful as practice fodder.

Very easy to use and does the job. I like that the kit has all the accessories needed for the job. Used it once so far using the fine tip to engrave on my recycling bin. It melts into the plastic easily.

Good nice switch from ? Temperature to 100 wattsBad cord way to short about 3 feetUgly on line says 80 watts would work .At 100 watts very slow and was not sure it would workNeeds at LEAST 150 to 200 watts A word to the wise as i had an 18 inch seam on riding mower leakingMark off in 1 inch segments do 1 inch then flip too the other side. Slow but it worked as it melted the hot sides together and no leaks. knocked off for short cord .get more than 100 watts unless very small fuel tank

It's working okay for now. But you never know about these cheaply made plastic Chinese POS. But I still purchased it. And it'll probably come back to bite me in the a$$. I chose money over quality.
