Applications include 283 305 307 327 350 and 400 small blocks and 396 402 427 and 454 big blocks (non-tall deck blocks) Red cap. Fully CNC machined and polished housing with adjustable vacuum advance. Each distributor has a 65,000 volt Super Coil and high performance 4-pin module to ensure accurate and reliable timing to 7500 RPM. Has Accel style coil cover which acts as wire retention and helps dissipate heat away from the coil. The 4340 chromoly gear will work with flat tappet or roller cams. Premium cap with brass terminals. True spark alignment for instant throttle response.

Bought this to replace a stock distributor in a 1986 Monte Carlo SS. Easy, direct fit installation. My car fired right up with no issues. This distributor can be compared to the Accel High Performance Distributor/Part #59130 for a fraction of the price. I paired the distributor with A-Team Performance 8.0mm Red Silicone Spark Plug Wires. So far everything has been great! Highly recommended for your classic builds.

I bought this to replace my Accel distributor. The car felt like the ignition was having spark scatter. I usually never buy something this inexpensive, but I figured what the heck. For those of you wondering if you should do it or not look at it this way, a cap and rotor is around $35.00 a control module is around $40 for a decent one. You're getting everything for just $50. No Brainer. So I put it on my corvette SBC 350 with 10.25 compression 539/548 camshaft and the car runs better then it ever has. No complaints so far. I'll update later after I put some miles on it. This is a torn issue with me. Buy no name parts that are a vital piece to my vehicle running, dish out alot of money for name brand, or replace worn components in an older style system? I work on cars for a living and have been using these no name distributors for about a year and a half. They look well built and seem to function as well as other name brand ones. I've installed a couple dozen and all are still functioning on the road as they should. It is a nice upgrade to the points and condenser setup and it is cheaper than buying points, condenser, cap, and rotor from the parts store. Are they as good as a name brand? Probably not but they perform well in a daily driver or weekend cruiser. Time will tell how long the coils last but I've had more than one name brand unit burn up internals also and if that does happen you can just get an upgraded coil from wherever. One thing to mention is that if you are upgrading from the older style distributor, order some plug wires also as they clip on a little different. All in all, for the price, it is a solid distributor that performs well and is a definite upgrade if you are still rocking a points dizzy. Heck, if you are doing a tuneup, it is cheaper to buy this distributor and just use the cap and rotor and keep the rest for spare parts.

I used the distributor in my '23 t-bucket roadster powered by a sbc 350. It replaced a top end brand name unit that was failing (probably the control module). It took about 15 minutes to pull the old one and drop in the Assault distributor. She fired right up, I tweaked the timing and hit the highway. The hot rod runs great and the distributor looks sharp and functions perfectly. I highly recommend this product. I can't see paying 4 or even 5 times the price for something that isn't any better. Don't even hesitate....buy it. Don't let the low price fool you...it's top quality.

Great deal on converting my old points distributor to HEI - easy install (once I got the oil pump drive aligned) and works great. I've driven about 500 miles since install with no problems, she's smoother and gets better gas mileage than before. Not bad for a few hours of tinkering and less than $100 worth of parts (I did plugs & wires as well).
