I used this drill for an ice auger, it met or exceeded requirements for the auger. The drill kept kicking out. Finally got holes drilled after some effort. 18” thick, after 5 holes the battery gave out. Also hi - low speed switch is reversed and very hard to operate. I replaced with a Milwaukee Fuel 18 drive/drill….. what a difference !!!

I’m happy with this drill for the price with 2 batteries, probably suited for home use not industrial or commercial use.

I don't know what I was expecting in a cordless drill, but it wasn't this. This is way more powerful than I expected, especially for being cordless. It is impressive. I have used it several times and have had to be careful and use extra caution because it has so much power for some of the small household tasks I used it for. I haven't needed to recharge it yet, so it is holding a charge well, too. Great item and seems like a good value for the price.

This drill comes in a nice case that comes with nut drivers that have the size stamped on them, a nice feature. The kit also comes with several drill bits as well as two masonry bits, and a flexible extension. Since this drill uses its own special batteries, I like that everything fits into the case without need for MacGyver packaging skills. Everything fits into the case without "case drama."The drill itself has a good feel in the hand and a nice all-metal chuck. The drill features a variable speed trigger that works, but there isn't a super slow speed available. The drill has a clamp on handle, and while it can be reversed for left and right handed users (see photos), I don't like the design as it comes off if even slight loosen so be aware of that. I drilled some 1/4" holes through 1/8 scrap plate and the drill worked fine with my own drill bits. The drill can take up to a 1/2 drill bit. I did not test and shanked down larger drill bits as it is the dead of winter in Minnesota, but I will update this review if I learn anything noteworthy as I use this drill. The batteries have a check charge button and came charged up. The batteries do have a circuit board controlling overcharge and discharge. I was not able to pull the battery back out of the bottom of the battery case as it appears to be glued in. The battery charger is a block and cord type that has a little LED tell-tail light on the block that flips from red when charging to green when charged.I did not have an opportunity to try out the hammer function, but the drill isn't sized like a corded hammer drill, so its intention is for light hammer work in masonry and as a general-purpose cordless drill.EDIT: As another reviewer noted, the two-speed switch on the top of the drill basically doesn't work.

The top gear switch from high to low is mislabeled, controls are reversed. Switch is so hard to switch you will break your fingernail or your finger. It's that stiff, which is not normal and gets worse with use. Also switch has no grab hold, not big enough switch to reach for your finger to push. Unacceptable.Medium speed pull on trigger makes a knocking clicking noise, which is not normal. it's because of the brushless motor break thats engaging while drill is spinning operating, which is not normal. Motor break should only engage when finger is off the trigger. This drill needs remanufacturing from its factory. And a redesign. Not ready for Prime time.Horrible design and quality control. Returning right away. This brand has been good in past, but this drill is lousey quality, do not buy if you value your fingers.
