I added this device to my home network, and it integrated smoothly. Installation took just a few minutes, and it synced well with my Cisco and Ubiquiti switches. The connection remains stable, with no dropouts or lag. It fits neatly into my existing setup, causing no disruptions. For anyone aiming to enhance network speed and reliability, this is a solid choice.

This 10Gb SFP+ module came simply packaged with the module encased in form-fitting rigid plastic shell. In my tests it failed to be recognized as a valid module in my Aruba Managed Switch, but worked fine in a UniFi Managed Switch. I did reach out to the seller and they emailed me back giving a different part number for a module that would be compatible with the Aruba. I have used other "Cisco Compatible" modules in the Aruba units before, but this one appears to be more code specific. Either way as long as your switch is compatible with this module it does work well and is a reasonable price as well.

This SFP+ transceiver works well at 10/5/2.5G ethernet speeds, but it does not operate at 1Gbps speeds. I did contact the seller, who informed me that it wasn't designed to do so, so the description may not be 100% accurate. It does get pretty hot, though, but that's to be expected with most SFP+ 10G ethernet transceivers, reaching the low to mid 60°C range. Other than the no 1Gbps support, though, it works perfectly fine, and I haven't noticed any dropped packets or anything.

These adapters I have used on quite a few installations...and they give me 10G speeds from rack to rack no problem without the hassle of paying for, or terminating, fiber. Fiber rolls are expensive and you need to know what you are doing. I do, but I prefer this to lower costs for my customers and they are getting a solid link with more speed than they would need. I know, this is not for high-level commercial applications, but honestly I think they would handle most of those as well.Run cat6a and use these babies between data frames and you will love it.

To expand my home network setup, I decided to give change to this SFP+ to RJ45 transceiver into my QNAP switch. It worked without issues. That would be all the review needed if you are in a hurry.Pros:Compatibility: Successfully connected with my QNAP switch without any issues.Performance: Maintains a stable 10GbE connection even at 50ft.Cons:Heat: It it very hot to touch, but my other port was the same. So might not be a real negative.

This SFP+ module works perfectly in my switch. I tested it connected both at 10G and 2.5G link speeds and it linked right up at both without issues to my ASUS ProArt board (Marvel 10G and Intel I225 2.5G nic)

Plugged the cisco version of this QSFPtek SFP into some non-Cisco gear, and it negotiated a connection at both 2.5Gbe and 10Gbe with no problem. I've had several from QSFPtek in the past, and they all seem to perform pretty well for the cost. Some heat is unavoidable, as it takes a decent amount of energy to modulate those speeds over Ethernet cable.

I needed 10gbps from my switch to PC. The switch only has SFP+ ports so I needed this to convert it to RJ45. Works great, but does run hot.
