I am in the granite countertop business. We use suction cups in our business a lot. One of the applications is on vacuum lifters for moving pieces around a shop without the help of another person. I started researching vacuum lifters and man are they expensive. I decided to build one. I used this little vacuum pump in some initial testing. I made a vacuum clamp using it and was able to safely lift a piece of stone that weighed in excess of forty pounds. I have since installed it on one set of our seam setters to replace a brkoen flip lever type suction cup. It works great
