Not quite as easy to use as I hoped. Not bad, but if you believe in retracting your awning each time you leave the camper and before going to bed at night...in case there is a wind gust that comes along and destroys your awning. Then the install/removal of these may be something you should consider.It is a good idea that helps do a certain task. My issue is that I do bring my awning in each time I will be away or asleep. I have had an awning ripped to pieces before, so I do not take that chance anymore. So for me, I prefer something that clips onto the awning skirt quickly, and removes just as quickly. You can't just leave this in the track and roll up the awning. You can unscrew the eye bolts and leave the threaded rod/nut in the track. But when you go to put everything back up, it takes more time to put the eye bolts back in place than I really want to spend in that effort. Especially when I can be done using the clips LONG before I even get the eye bolts back up and still have to hang the lights/decorations/or whatever.The only thing that I can say they really do is offer more weight holding ability than the clip method. But I don't hang things that weigh that much, so this just does not fit my needs like I hoped it would.I was willing to give these a try...but just not sure they offer a better solution than what I was already doing. 3 stars because they seem to be well made, but I can't give them more because they are not as easy to use (considering awning retraction) than clips to the skirt. If you have a different application, these may be wonderful for you. Just not for me.

My 1998 Rockwood camper has not had an awning since I bought it. But that channel along the top we needed something so I could tie off stuff to it. These work great for that

The 6mm do not fit on 5mm awning tube and are too small to lock into 8mm tube. Misleading.
