This is a big solid unit that just by the looks and quality of it makes you feel confident that it will work. I like how it is super easy to connect. Literally 8 total wires (4 input and a double split output). It works great for my solar panel to regular power transfer. If my solar power bank gets too low - I can manually or have it automatically go to the regular power or vice versa. I do like the option to have a automatic or manual transfer if desired. The only thing I wish was added to the unit was a set of lag screws for mounting. Other than that I am really pleased.

When I received this item, I examined it and saw a red wire passing through in the connection terminal. It was not placed where it should have been, and this caused me worry that something was wrong. Similarly, there was a loose black wire that concerned me.So I spent the time and effort to disassemble the unit to verify that there was no issue. The red wire had been soldered to the terminal, just not routed properly out of the way of where you must add a power wire into the connector. Similarly, the black wire was just not routed where it should have been. I reassembled the switch and proceeded. The numbering of the wiring terminals was very unclear at first. The tiny sheet manual is worded/translated poorly and of very little help. It is also confusing that BOTH input terminal areas are labeled "1" and "N". It would have made a lot more sense to name the terminals 1 and N for the primary input; 2 and N for the backup power input; and have a single lower terminal named "3"and "N".Unlike other transfer switches I have used, this one does not tie the output together from the two sets of switches. With respect to the output (the lower terminals), you are left to run external jumper wires from "2" to "2" (the hot line) and from the adjacent "N" to "N" (the neutral line) in order to have output power when the inputs are switched from Primary to Backup.Once I jumpered the lower pairs of wires, and connected 2 power sources to the top terminals, I found that the unit worked quickly and properly on automatic, with BOTH red indicator lights showing the status of the 2 input power sources and which is providing live power to the output. Pulling the primary power (the left "1") caused the relay to quickly switch the mechanical power switch and the red primary light extinguished as the relay moved to the secondary source. Restoring the primary power also resulted in a quick transfer back as expected, with the primary light illuminating. In summation, it works fine, just terribly documented and I believe it should have had an internal jumper for the output wires...with a single set of connections. Terminal identification could have been much better with 1, 2, and 3 for the three connections that need to be made.My personal use for this switch is to allow primary power to come from an inverter fed by solar panels and batteries, and then when I turn that inverter off, the unit will automatically switch over to standard shore power.
