I think this should be 3.5 Stars but I will round upOverall the box is pretty well made and rugged. The actual transfer switch itself appears to be pretty rugged and would handle quite a lot of transfers. Unknown how many at this point.Biggest issue is the hinges are held on with rivets, and they are aluminum at that. So when I open the box with a few times they started to get a little loose. The other is that the hinge rivets are getting in the way of the ground strip that is mounted at the bottom left corner of the box. So it makes it difficult to put wires into two of the slots. Granted there are plenty of other slots available but they are all not the same size, so if you are putting an 8 gauge wire then the screw tap will have interference with the rivet. The other is that the grounding bar is mounted to the box using plastic rivet of some sort so it moves while trying to wires to it. Ideally the grounding bar should be mounted directly on the box so that the box is directly grounded by the bar as well

The switch comes in a very durrable metal enclosure and is made of good quality materials. I was able to swap out my RV’s old switch with this new one easily. Much cheaper than what my local RV dealer wanted for a similar unit.
