Greasing Mower Spindles
- Greasing your mower spindle depends on the usage. The more you use it, the more grease it needs. If you are an average user, you need to grease your mower spindles at least once a month.
- This will lubricate the interior moving parts in the mower. Keeping the internal parts well lubricated extends the life of the mower.
- The amount of grease needed for your mower spindles also depends on how you use it. For personal mowing, it can be sufficient to grease them two times in a mowing season.
- If you are a commercial mower, you should grease the mower spindle daily. This is because you spend many hours using it and it might get destroyed easily if it doesn’t get enough lubrication.
- Keep in mind that mower spindles have large cavities that need enough lubrication. It would be best to grease the spindles until grease can be seen coming out of the weep hole at their base.
- Remember to change the oil when the lawn-mowing season is over. Changing oil is also crucial as it makes the mower last longer.
- Failing to change the oil leads to oil deposits settling on the engine. You might also want to add fresh gasoline and maintain the blade as part of the maintenance process.

The biggest pain in the butt was getting the old ones off. FYI, use a grinding wheel to cut the bolts and move on. Once I came to that realization life was easier. Get the ones you can, then start grinding. Used for a mowing season and worked well. Good value for the money so far.

Exactly what I needed to replace the center deck spindle on my Toro Timecutter SS5000. Came with replacement bolts and casting holes were already threaded making assembly easy. Quality value for the money and eliminated that roar I was hearing.

Received the product on time.The spindles were easy to install. I have cut my grass one time since the 3 new spindles were installed. So far, so good. The spindles are not OEM, but they were 2/3 less in price of OEM.

I have a Toro 50" Timecutter zero-turn mower. I also have a newly constructed home on 3 acres. With this much non-manicured yard, you are bound to have some issues every now and then. Well, that happened when a pine branch lodged itself in between the blade and housing, doing a number on my spindle. With a 6 week minimum backlog of repairs at my local lawnmower shop, my only option was to replace the spindle myself. The spindle was a direct replacement to the original and was super easy to install. The only hard part was figuring out the best way to pull the blade off the original spindle for disassembly. After about 45 minutes of work, my mower was cutting grass again. These spindles work great and I've already replaced the other two as part of my preventative maintenance plan.I've been running the first replacement for over one season and it's held up like a champ. For the money, these spindles are an excellent value. I'm only hoping they stay in stock for the next time I'm in need.Two thumbs up.
