I have several versions of these tools and use them frequently for deburring 3D print edges, removing elephant's foot, deburring drilled holes in metal and plastic and many other uses. This one compares well with the originals but has a different cutting profile that took some practice to use effectively. The handle is great and it's easy to install/remove the blade for swiveling. The blades are sharp and the cutting edge holds up well. A new edge looked good under the microscope and still looked good after test strokes on steel and brass. It cut PLA smoothly after deburring the metal which speaks well of its durability. Having a tray full of replacements doesn't hurt either.Compared to the blades I'm used to, these are noticeably thinner with a sharper blade angle and a flat taper instead of the originals' compound grind. Drawing it along a PLA edge required a little more finesse to keep the blade from digging into the plastic. On PLA, I found it best to hold the handle at 45 degrees to the edge to be deburred with the inner crook of the blade alongside the edge and to use a light touch. When used in that way, the burrs come off in a nice spiral leaving a clean edge. Pressing harder digs the blade in, potentially gouging the work. Like the originals, the blade is 'handed' i.e. with the handle in your right hand you pull towards you, in the left hand stroke away from you. Inside of tubing, a firm pressure will get a pronounced chamfer.Placing the blade halfway to keep it from swiveling didn't work for me, there is no key on the blade or squared off shaft to actually lock it into place. I can see the benefit of a sharp, locked blade but this seems to rely on friction and that's not enough IMO. I want the blade securely locked in so that it doesn't fly off under pressure. I have separate, fixed blade tools for heavy deburring and shaping and will stick with those. Is this a good tool? Yes. I think personally I prefer the blade geometry of my existing tools but that's a matter of preference and habit. It is well built and comfortable to use. With some practice, it will do a good job on many materials and should last a long time.

Makes cleaning up my 3d prints a breeze when I print with a brim.

used this strictly for 3d printing cleanup and this does work great for the most part, but I would say some improvements are in order. The device is not very ergonomic and after a short while, the repetitive motion combined with the slick metal which has to be gripped tightly causes thumb joint pain. a model with a rubber handle or ergonomically shaped would be welcome addition. I can't speak to the functionality outside of 3d printing, but it cleans up plastics very well. I doubt I would need to replace this very soon as the solid aluminum construction should last forever versus the plastic parts it will be cutting - but should I need to replace I would probably look for a way to modify this one to be more comfortable or look for a similar item that is easier to handle. would still recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind an uncomfortable tool.

This deburring tool is definitely a great addition to my 3D printing toolkit. It’s easy to use and does a fantastic job at cleaning up the edges of prints, removing any extra material, and giving my prints a professional, smooth finish. The handle is comfortable, and the tool itself is sturdy and feels high-quality.
