We are required by code to debur/bevel our pipe before gluing our fittings on. Our cpvc fittings are tapered and this tool creates a nice bevel on the end and removed any burrs left behind. It takes a little skill to get used to it, you have to maintain constant pressure to avoid chattering. It will barely fit over schedule 80 2 inch pipe, but it works. You can use it in tight spaces too

Used on PVC pipe and did not like the bevel results. The edge was rough and not as smooth as with a real cutting blade like on Reed's $70 tool.

Does not make a smooth chamfer on the pipe. It will leave “chatter marks”. It does remove the rough cuts left by cutting with sawsall but so does a piece of sandpaper. If your looking for a smooth cut like you get from a pipe cutter (only beveled), this tool won’t do it.I drilled the pointed end and bolted a 1/4” all thread through it, sticking 1” out each side. Used cordless drill IN REVERSE. It works ok, not great.Using it to chamfer 1 1/2” SDR11 conduit at the underground splice points (push on butt connectors). Pulling Fiber optic through it so it can’t have any sharp or rough edges protruding.

After sampling reviews on several deburring tools of this type, a persistent theme is that the claimed maximum pipe width is too high. It won't work well at that dimension. In other words, if you need to work on 1.5 inch PVC -- as I did -- don't get a tool with stated maximum of 1.5 or even 1 5/8. This deburring tool was ideal for me given the 2 inch maximum.Overall I am very satisfied. It out paces the reviews. Online videos of the product almost seemed as if the operator had an agenda beforehand and intentionally applied poor technique to make it fail. Bizarrely angled twists and turns then giving up too soon. I made sure to apply uniform pressure and with the deburring tool as square to the PVC pipe as I could manage. The results were more than acceptable. Clean up with fingers only. I didn't need to resort to a file or sandpaper on finishing touch. My 3-piece pool filter attachment glued fine and is now functioning as needed...directing backwash toward my neighbor's yard.No question deburring inside the pipe produces a superior result to outside. It is easy to work both bands in unison and coordinate while deburring the inside. Outside I eventually realized it was best to hold the tool steady and rotate the pipe only.

Convenient and easy to use. Start out with a straight cut and it works really nice. Works for two inch PVC which is mainly what we use installing swimming pool equipment. Good tool!!

Searched for and bought this item for a one-off job of installing a hot water tank with S636 venting. It sorta works, maybe I had a poor technique, but regular sandpaper also did the job.Now I need to re-sell it and hopefully break even as the price was less than the local plumbing supply shops.

Got it within a day of ordering it and to my surprise it showed up black, not silver! To some this maybe a negative but I of course know for a fact black is much sexier! 5 stars for Sex appeal.

Bravo for making a larger tool at a reasonable price. It's holding up well. The problem with many of these is that there are only three contact points so they jump around a lot and the edges aren't smooth on the outside. Needs to have four shaving edges. The inside chamfering works well as is.

I just installed a new pool pump, and decided to do some pipe rerouting in the process. I bought this little tool to chamfer the ends of the 2 inch PVC piping, and it worked great. Only takes about 10 seconds to put a nice chamfer all around the pipe ends!Highly recommended if you are doing any PVC pipe work.

I had used this tool before that belonged to someone else and I wanted my own. It is a simple tool that will deburr the inside of the cut pipe as well as bevel the edge. Small and compact. Company was good. Took over a week to get this tool as it came from out west and I live in the east but that was not a problem for me. I used this tool when I hard piped my pool this year.
