I dug a deep trench for this, let it warm in the sun, and wasn’t able to keep this to be nice and flat up against a sidewalk. It was intended to go around a mulch bed, but ended up being wavy. Wasn’t what I was looking for.

High Quality, Good Length, Smooth Edges. The depth of this edging is great for initial install, deep enough to truly block grass roots from growing under and into the bed. However, attempting to use with an existing edging would be very challenging - wish it also came in 8 inch widths.

Needed to block off part pf the garden for planting. This worked great. Flexible, but strong.

We used this at the bottom of a metal no-dig fence to keep the bark much inside our property line & separate our area from our neighbor's front yard. Both of us installed it & it was an easy install (same for the no dig fence). Both are black & it looks good & neat. It's only been up about 1 month (7/2024) so we can't address durability but I'll update later. We're very happy with the product & would definitely buy it again & do highly recommend it. We rolled it out & let it sit in the sun for about 1/2 hour before starting our project & it was very easy to work with.

I needed this to create something a little higher around a tree on a slope. It has done everything that I need it to do with some left over for a few other areas.A bit hard to cut through but that is what I expected when I ordered it. Will order again if necessary.

If I had the money I would have bought the longer roll, this should last past World War 3.

PROS:1. Deep barrier to prevent root and mulch migration2. Strong and durable3. Worked good for my purposeCONS:1. If you don't backfill the barrier will be wavy2. Need to roll out in sun to make for easier installation3. Probably need stakes to help prevent wavy or uneven look.I purchased this product because I wanted a deep barrier to prevent grass roots from migrating into my flower beds and I wanted to keep my mulch from spilling into my grass, especially during a heavy rain. Basically I wanted a good separation between my grass and flower beds. Most products that are barriers do not go deep enough to prevent root migration, which is why I bought this 10" deep option.Because the barrier is so deep, I can burry it further in the ground giving it stability while also allowing enough barrier above ground to keep the mulch from moving out of the flower bed and into the grass. It may be designed strictly as a root migration prevention barrier so it may not look as clean as you want it to when installed. To prevent the wavy or uneven look I had to back fill certain parts of the barrier to give it better support.I would highly recommend this product for someone needing a weed or garden barrier.Pro Tip: 30 minutes before using the barrier, fully extend/roll out the barrier in the sun to allow it to soften and make it easier to work with during installation.

For years I've struggled to keep our garden mulch from migrating under our fence line onto neighbors property and to keep their weeds from crawling into our garden. I installed one continuous 80' roll of Doniks 12 gauge (10" H) Weed Barrier Landscape Edging by myself in a couple hours. I even wrangled ithe roll over and around some large plantings. My goal was to keep the barrier as one continuous roll. I was definitely motivated to get this product installed and I am so very pleased with the end result. Preparation work I needed to do prior to the install of this product took much more time than me placing the 80' roll in place. To prepare I moved mulch, pulled up the old fabric barrier that was held with landscape staples and hand trenched all along the fence line to get a pretty level path to install across the entire 80' stretch. I still had to make a few trench adjustments here and there as the product was put in place. Then I back filled, re-installed fabric and moved mulch back. Sure wish I had had this product years ago as a first step while creating my garden. My install of the product is recent. It has not weathered years of sun exposure or hard winters. Only the test of time will prove out its long-term durability. It is meeting all my expectations right now and I couldn't be happier.
