The bags are made with some woven, tarp-like material, and are very strong. They are definitely strong enough for sand, rocks, or whatever else you need to load them with.

I got these thinking they were smaller sized sand bags, but these are much bigger. thing a bag of sand you buy at Bunnings size. That said these are great for storing your used sand bags, tarps, open bags of purchased sand or other flood mitigation items. They'd also be great as partially filled sand bags at holding down tarps etc during said possible flood. Unless you are Hercules then go nuts and use these as sand bags if you can lug 'em around. Good quality, water resistant fabric with drawstring. Great for yard clean ups, rubbish removal, fire wood pick ups, gravel & mulch etc.

Sand bags? Flooding? Like a fire extinguisher, you buy it hoping you'll never need it. Pretty much but not quite: These bags can be used for other purposes and they were ordered to check out that aspect.The package arrived in five days. Which was as estimated. The bags were well packaged in a robust zip lock factory storage bag. They were in good shape.The material used to make these bags is a coarse woven 'fabric' which is similar to a tarp. They appear to be just as advertised size wise.

This is pack of 8 sand bags. The material is like what big 50 pound bag of rice comes in. They're very sturdy and durable. Comes with zip ties to close them. Nice to keep these around just in case.
