Like most people, I hate cleaning gutters. It gets done, eventually, but at certain times of year, my gutters have lots of stuff in them. This product doesn’t eliminate the need to clean them out, but it greatly increases their performance when you haven’t.They’re ready to install - grab it by the closed end, and shove the open end into the downspout, compacting as needed. Push it in just far enough to secure it. Once installed, it accomplishes two things - it increases the surface area for draining out of the junk in the gutter, and it prevents the junk from sliding into the downspout opening and plugging it entirely. So you have a gutter that drains, albeit less quickly, rather than a trough. It’s a greater improvement than it sounds like, just not a complete release from the duty of cleaning out your gutters.

These metal mesh guards are just what I needed for my gutters! It comes "assembled", so all you need to do is install it into your gutter downspout entrance. They are a bit sharp, but easy to work with and do the job well!
