Changing a PS4 controller battery is easy and this comes with all the necessary tools. It could be improved by the inclusion of a triangle-style guitar pick for getting the shell separated, but the pry tool that is present can manage the task. The battery fits perfectly and lasts a comparable amount of time to a stock part, and is holding charge well when not in use. While the product listing does clearly state what model it's intended for, it is worth noting for anyone who might not have as much knowledge about this sort of thing that it will only fit controllers manufactured after the design revision; models made before 2016 used a larger connector. Check your model number before buying; if you have any variant of the CUH-ZCT1, this won't work for you.

Having a ps4 in 2025, anything will be better than the aging batteries in my old controllers. These are higher capacity about 20% and fit into the controller just like the original.The included screwdriver, while a nice gesture, does work to do the job, but I would say after you are done it can be thrown away. It's crooked and the "grip" is loose and turns with you.The pry tool you will definitely need and I suggest watching a tutorial video before you start so you avoid unnecessary damage to your controller. While the instructions say to charge fully before using, I noticed it only till a few minutes before it was fully charged. I would buy again.

Battery didn't work. I ended up using a battery out of a aftermarket controller where I just had to change the plug. It would of been nice to use this one but it wouldn't charge so I cut off the end plug and used a different battery.

It is not as described they added a extra zero to the advertised product don't be fooled! Look at the pictures of the product you will see it's not as advertised!!
