Seems to be a well-designed and manufactured inverter. I use it as a long run time uninterruptable power supply for my 3D printer. 3D prints can take many hours to complete, and electric grid repair can also take many hours to complete, so a standard UPS would not have provided enough battery backup for the print to finish. The Impinvt 1200w coupled with 2 large deep cycle batteries is just the ticket for success. The only downside I can list is the battery cables are pretty cheap and probably need to be replaced if you are going to use this inverter at its maximum 1200 watts.

Has worked great.love how it clicks, turn on. Has acted up a bit fake charging and throws an error so pay it due attention. Restarting helps and it will charge battery if its turned off.

I set this up to run my sump pump when we lose power. So far it has worked flawlessly. It switches over to battery power practically instantly when we lose power. I have it connected to a 100 amp/hr battery and also have powered my refrigerator during two recent power outages, with no issues. Much easier than dragging out the generator into the yard and running extension cords into the house. Keeps the battery charged and ready for use. No issues with connecting battery and charging function. Be warned that the cooling fan runs all the time so make sure you have this mounted behind closed doors or somewhere the humming won't bother you.

Living in Ecuador where we are experiencing an energy crisis, there are days that we lose power for as long as 14 hours. I need(ed) power for my critical items, CPAP, router and computer (since I work on-line.) I shopped around looking for a unit that would have a built in battery charger and an ATS to automatically switch back and forth between normal and emergency power. It also needed to generate a Pure Sine Wave due to my CPAP (that's what many CPAPs require). I decided to roll the dice and purchase an Impinvt 1,200 watt inverter. I "was" a Tripp-lite guy, but the models I saw were far too pricey and I didn't see evidence that they generated Pure Sine Wave.My biggest challenge was finding deep cycle batteries. Prices for anything of an electrical/electronic nature have skyrocketed due the current situation. Once I completed my installation I discovered that it has enough output to also keep my refrigerator going which is a true god-send. The last thing we need is to get sick due to food not being kept at proper temps. The installation was very easy. Due to having worked with inverters, generators, ATSs and more, it was a no brainer. My batteries are ideal for the situation (better be for what I paid for them), so thus far we have more than enough juice for our needs. While powering our frig, my CPAP, several LED lights, 2 UPSs (which multiple chargers plugged into them) - my inverter panel shows a 5-8% load. If I am interpreting that correctly; it is indicating that I have only scratched the surface and my unit is capable of powering up many more items. So far it has worked flawlessly.Besides being able to work when others cannot, there's the wife situation. Happy wife, happy life. Having provided for our energy needs has made my wife more tolerant of her good looking but annoying husband. So...thank you Impinvt! If anything changes, I'll share that too.

If you don't mind losing money, you can buy this cheap inverter, it works for a few weeks and it stops working, when you go to ask for the warranty, they give you thousands of excuses... I lost money buying this inverter and I lost money hiring an electrician to check because it stopped working... All the tests were done, it was connected directly to AC, the battery was replaced and it simply didn't work.

es excelente para respaldo de energía, no recomiendo aire acondicionado debido a que no esta diseñado para algo con picos tan variantes, alimentamos equipos de redes y hasta ahora un excelente desempeño

This item works perfect to keep my sump pump running if the power goes out. Good build quality, easy hookup. Getting it setup (programmed) is a bit tricky. I have not figured out if I can set a minimum voltage for cut-off and the cooling fan runs all the time even when the unit is not working as a passthrough when shore power is on or when its using the battery. When its running an item the fan speeds up even more. It is loud enough I can hear it upstairs. I think the fan should only run when the unit is actually powering an appliance. I tested it by turning off the breaker feeding it while the sump pump was running. Instantly switched to battery power. When grid power is turned back on it starts re-charging the battery. It keeps the PowerQueen 100ah battery topped off . Once setup, there is nothing more you need to do. Been using this for a few months now with zero problems. Peace of mind when im away from home.

Original: The unit I ordered arrived defective. The LCD was nonfunctional, although the backlight did illuminate. The indicator lights worked expected, and the service receptacle problem noted in other reviews was present, however without the ability to configure the unit I cannot blindly keep this connected this to a good battery for any significant period. Updates to follow examination of the replacement unit.Update 1: I received the replacement unit. Without power there is continuity between line and load sides of W and G, and not L1. The original unit battery light was green, while the replacement unit battery light is yellow. The original unit was missing battery conductors and yet for some reason had a standard PC 5-15P/C13 power cable. Update to follow with a scan of the manual and, following that, a menu button flowchart.Update 2: The second unit has performed well. I do wish the battery settings had separate charge start and charge stop settings to allow for different resting and charging voltage, but it does not. I have added manual photos.
