The part snapped right in in place of the old part; however, be aware that the terminals apparently were not meant to be soldered like the original part. You must use push on terminals. It's a good thing the part came as a box of two as I destroyed one attempting to solder wires to it.

Finally I found a switch that didn't burn out for my elderly Duraflame fireplace space heater.I tried a few different variations of switches in my search for a replacement switch but they kept shorting out and burning off the "on" terminal of the three prongs. The 20 A/125 V : 16 A / 250 V rating of this switch worked.It is very easy to pop out a switch with a screwdriver. You just need to be diligent about identifying correct wire connection placement from the old to the new.
