The griddle on our wood stove had some of the gasket tore up . My husband used this to replace the old gasket with new. It did a great job of repairing.

After massaging the tube for a long time the cement still barely came out.

Gasket cement dried out and unusable. Gaskets are much shorter than packing slip indicates.

The sizing is perfect. There is enough length of each type of gasket with some to spare. The cement is black so wear gloves and work clothes.

I’ve got an older Vermont Castings stove and these fit perfectly and were very easy to install.

An airtight wood stove works splendidly…until the gaskets wear out. Then the stove is well-nigh useless. Gaskets are essential. So if your stove needs new gaskets, don't fool around: get ones you know are the proper dimensions and quality. This package contains the correct gaskets (actually with a little bit extra on each sized gasket, just in case) and the proper glue. The only thing you will need is a small steel wire brush to clean out the grooves completely before you place these new gaskets.

Quality is very good, instructions were clear. Note to customers who have Vermont Castings Intrepid II model 1990 stoves. There's not quite enough of the narrow cord for the inside of the door glass. I had to reuse a 4 or 5 inch section from the old sealing job. Not life or death, but it kind of defeated the purpose there. However, I do have plenty of extra material for the outside edge of the doors themselves. I've ran the stove probably 10 times since doing the install, and everything's working well. Will definitely buy this again someday.

My wood stove was getting a little smokey and I decided to try replacing the gasket myself. This simple high quality kit worked great. Taking care to clean the cast iron surface, trimming the gasket carefully and following the directions precisely, it was an easy fix.

High price for parts for items needed to maintain a stove made by a company which has gone out of business. Messy installation and insulation not cut to length.

Kit had a stamped date of "April 11, 2014." I followed instructions meticulously, including instruction to knead the gasket cement before trying use it. The cement is unusable - all dried out and will not come out of the tube. I cannot recommend this kit.UPDATE: Seller promptly sent a new tube of cement. With that, the kit is satisfactory, and this review has been updated to 4 stars.
