The StealthDrive 750 belt drive garage door opener is an ultra-quiet garage door opener with a steel-reinforced belt, making it the ideal choice for homeowners where sound could be an issue. This garage door opener has a powerful DC motor with GenieSense technology standard. For extra safety and added convenience, this Genie garage door opener features an integrated battery backup. This transition from home power to running on the battery happens instantly when the main power is out. Like all Genie garage door openers, the StealthDrive 750 comes equipped with Intellicode rolling code technology that prevents unauthorized persons from opening your garage door. This garage door opener includes many accessories for safety and convenience. Included are two pre-programmed 3-button garage door opener remotes, a wireless keypad and a multi-function wall console which provides you with a light control button and a vacation lock. The Genie Safe-T-Beam garage door safety sensors ensure your family's safety with an infrared beam of light across the door opening. Designed specifically for 7 ft. garage doors - extension kit required for 8 ft. (EKTB, SKU 100457) door.

BELT DRIVE Quiet, much quieter than a chain or cable drive. BATTERY BACKUP. Even when the power goes out you can still get your door open with the back up battery built into the unit. The door will open but will take twice as long as it usually do. Do not expect the battery to do more than one or two open close cycles. LIGHTS. Has two lights, one on each side. That helps parking the car and getting into the house. SAFETY SENSOR: Required by law and the opener will not work if you do not hook up the sensors. I found if you have them on two doors next to each other you need to put the RED light sensors on the center of the garage and the GREEN light sensors on near the outer walls of the garage. (Green, Red, Red, Green) The beam goes out the red and into the green. If you do not do this the red light sensor of one door will less up the green light sensor of the other door. The instructions mention this but they are not super clear. WIRING. You get one roll of wiring for the two sensors and the wired door opener you normally install near the door into the house. Take extra time to mark which wire is which so when you get up to the opener you will know which pair go where. If you do not do that you will have to play guess where the wire goes. MOUNT: Decent, if you have heavier bracing use it.

I like having the light on to get my Motorcycle in and parked without turning on the garage lights. It's so quiet my wife can't hear it when I come home late.

We never installed one of these before so it took most of two days (in sweltering heat) to install it and program it.Had to retrofit the garage a bit, so maybe less than 2 days really. It works excellently and is very quiet.

Great opener. Super guite, installation was easy but it still took me about 6 hours, not bad for an almost 83 yr.old. I replaced my belt drive Craftsman that took a dump. This opener is way more quite than the craftsman. The biggest problem I had was getting my cars home link programmed. I had to go on line to find out the proper procedure to program the cars home link. Satisfied with my purchase.

I had to order the extension piece for a taller door opening even though my door is only 7'6" tall. Amazon does not carry the extension kit so I had to order thru Home Depot. It seems like the opener should come with the extension kit. I really cannot imagine how short the door is that the original opener is designed to work on. The operation is quiet but seems pretty slow. My door is heavy and is insulated so that may be why it works slower.

Super quiet and I like that the belt does not need annual greasing or oiling. Extremely easy to program the door travel and adding additional remote controllers. I also liked the battery backup due to the ongoing power outages we're now having more often in So. California. One comment on the installation is when hooking up the sensors, pay attention to the picture they have in the manual which shows which terminal on the sensors to hook the black striped wire to. I did not install the exterior key pad, ( I may rethink that decision), but installed another wall controller at the front of the garage on the inside next to the garage door. Used a door bell controller and ran another wire to the motor and hooked up the wire to terminals #3 and #4. Worked great as I was concerned I may have to buy another genie wall controller and did not have to. Now I'm onto replacing the rollers and installing some isolators bolts on the motor connection, adjusting the springs and lubing the door to see how much more I can make the garage door quieter. Watched a lot of the "how to" videos on the internet. After all of this, I could go into the business.....no, but I did save myself a lot of $ doing this myself.

I have a Chamberlain B730 belt opener with battery back up. I much prefer it over this product. First off, installation of the Genie product is a real pain. The instructions are very poorly written. Words are misspelled in the instructions. Can't they use spell check or proofread? I should have just packed it up and returned it then. If the company is that sloppy with instructions, it figures they would be sloppy with design and manufacturing. Turns out, they are. What is not obvious is that not all the instructions are on the instruction sheet. Some of them are also in the operation manual. You will need to go back and forth, particularly when it comes to the battery backup installation. The Genie has a shorter pole then the Sears models or Chamberlain models. That means if you are replacing one of them, your existing ceiling brackets won't work. I found out you wither have to move the existing brackets closer to the door, which I could not due because of where my rafters were spaced, or you have to build new brackets. In my case. the Genie fell between two rafters, so I had to spend hours buying more metal supports, bolts, and nuts, and then fabricating a new set up. I didn't have to with the Chamberlain unit I installed a month earlier. The rail on the Genie unit just slides together without stops, unlike the Chamberlain unit. When you pick up the Genie rail to work on the end, not surprisingly all the sections come apart and you get to start over. The metal parts on the Genie unit are also obviously thinner than on the Chamberlain unit. The rod flexes much more in the Chamberlain unit. Tightening the belt is almost a job for a contortionist on the Genie model. You have to try and hold both ends of the belt while also turning a turnbuckle contraption with both thumbs. It is a ridiculous setup. The electric safety beam lights that cross the width of the door can only be adjusted by repositioning your screws and moving the units up or down as needed. My red light blinks constantly. The instructions say it should be on steady. It never is. Turns out the door works perfectly fine with it blinking, although the instructions say it will not. After 45 minutes of trying to adjust the beam, I tried calling Genie on the phone, but was on hold for an eternity and gave up with them.Programming instructions sound simple and would be simple if the opener would actually work as claimed. Instead it took a least a dozen attempts before it would hold the program. The buttons are on the bottom of the opener and are the same color plastic as the frame, which makes it hard to program. You have to stand on something directly underneath the opener and look straight up. The lights on the opener will come on when you try to program, and they make it impossible to see the program leds, which are very small and dim. I ended up having to take the light bulbs out of the opener in order to see what color the leds were when trying to program (the leds change colors and you are supposed to do different entries on different colors). Finally, the remote for this opener absolutely sucks. It has three buttons. Two don't work for the functions I have. I have to hit the button repeatedly, like 5 or 6 times, before the opener responds. First thing I am going to do is buy a compatible opener not made by Genie that will at least work right. The pros of this unit is that it is quiet, but not as quiet as my Chamberlain unit. I would never buy this Genie again. Do yourself a favor and get a Chamberlain belt drive instead. I now understand why there is a big sticker on the Genie unit telling you not to return the unit to the store and advising the purchaser to call them for help. Apparently, people take it back to the store when they find out all the difficulties with it.
