I like the portability of this voice recorder; it's approximately the size of a standard thumb drive. Some aspects of it are a bit tedious, like setting up preferences and reviewing particular audio events, however; out of the box, you can charge it up and use it right away, tending to the other details as necessary. My recorder arrived with some recordings already on it, the manual states that this can occur as part of the quality control, so I did a factory reset via the pin-hole after testing and using the device.I found this voice recorder to be most useful in capturing elongated scenarios, such as a boardroom meeting that you might consider reviewing afterwards. For spur of the moment captures, I found this to be less ideal because it takes about 15 seconds for recording to begin once powered on. If it’s an important thought, 15 seconds can seem like a long time.Reviewing the captured audio can be a little cumbersome with the included ‘plug-in controls’ and ear buds, but it does work without the use of a computer. On a computer things are a little speedier, where you can open the MP3 files and pan through them swiftly to find the content you want.Overall, I think it is great to have such a small recording device. The recording quality is decent when the device is still, if the device is shuffling around the captured audio ends up staticy and crackly. I'd say this device, in many ways shares the tedium of a microcassette recorder, but when it comes to battery life, portability, computer readiness and recording time, it is clearly unmatched.

I really like this voice recorder, and there are many reasons why, but one of my main reasons for liking it too much is that it's discrete. It looks like a small carabiner, and it's super lightweight and low-profile. There's no screen, fancy design logo, or anything that could attract attention.My second reason for thinking this is an awesome digital voice recorder is that it's super simple to operate. There's only ONE button. That's it. On and Off. When in the On position, it starts recording. When placed in the Off position, it will save the recording and stop. Super simple. Now add that to 125GB of internal storage. You can record hours and hours of audio. This is great for audio logs and notes. You can hang it on your keychain, and every time you have a note, you can easily record it.The casing is metal, which should protect the recorder. There's also a USB-C port you can use to charge it when needed. Now, the ad says this comes with a voice-activated feature. I don't know much about that as I have never looked into it. But suppose you can turn it on, and it only records when there's a conversation or some sort of noise.So, the other cool feature that is definitely worth mentioning is the added control panel. Say, after you are done recording, you may be wondering, how am I going to listen to what I just recorded? Do I need a computer to listen to the recordings? So the answer is no, you don't need a computer or anything else. You certainly can use a computer to access your files, but the recorder comes with a cool little control panel that you attach to the USB-C and it gives you 6 additional buttons as well as the ability to connect a pair of headphones (which are included). So the buttons are Vol +, Vol -, Prev, Next, Play, and Menu. These buttons give you the ability to navigate through the recordings without having to connect your device to a computer.Overall, this is a great recorder. Highly recommended.

I bought this voice recorder for my lectures, and it works amazingly well. The audio is loud and clear, and I can easily upload my recordings to my laptop. Highly recommend!

VINE REVIEWS - I like how you can carry this recorder easily anywhere you like.This recorder has good capacity to store the recordings and will help the students to record the lecture and review notes later on.The package comes with many goodies which are helpful while recording or listening to your recording later on.I like the feature how you can carry this recorder like a key chain and tuck it in your belt loop. When listening to your recordings, you need to plug in the extra accessory which is part of the package.That accessory plugs in to the recorder and you can plug in your wired headsets on the other end. This accessory works like remote and has many features like play/pause, skip/back, move forward/backward, etc.The recorder has universal USB-C charging. The package comes with small charging cable, but no wall adapter. The recorder has physical slide button on the side which will be used to start/stop recording. When you stop the recording, the recording will be saved automatically.If you want to have exact time stamp, there is video link in the product page on Amazon, which guides you step by step to make those desired changes.

I ordered this mainly as a self protection measure as I am a female who rides a moped during the spring/summer months and unfortunately I tend to come across some shady people both on and off the roads. I have had some not so nice encounters where I had wished that I was able to record the conversation for my protection so I figured that this would serve as beneficial in those situations where I want to remain discreet and record conversations in uncomfortable situations. This offers exactly that. Discreetness.It is a simple metal case voice recorder that can be clipped to just about anything but is best suited for a keychain or lanyard (it comes with a lanyard in the box). It is very simple to use and has 2 functions - On and Off. Just flip the switch to On to record, and Off to end the recording which saves the file. It also has a large memory bank with 125GB of memory, you will not need to wipe files to create new ones so your recordings can be of a good length/duration and you will not need to be concerned with it loosing memory and cutting the recording short or wiping any other files. You can then upload your saved data files to a computer for playback using the headphones it comes with. You can save and name the files/modify date and time as per your preference. Overall, a very discreet, solid and durable little voice recorder that has ample memory and storage space that is simple and user friendly! I highly recommend!

This is an interesting compact sound recorder which can be carried on a keyring. In theory it's about as simple as it gets to use: turn switch on and it records, turn switch off and it saves. However in practice this overly simplified control makes the device rather clunky to use.There is nothing on the recorder besides the power switch and an indicator LED, so the configuration must be done on a computer by editing a text file. You can adjust the date/time, gain, bitrate, noise reduction, and a few other parameters. Sadly regardless of the settings, the recordings are very poor quality with quiet muffled and tinny sounding mono audio. A PDA from the early 2000s will manage better than this.The recorder also has no indication to show the recording is ongoing: turn the unit on and it blinks a few times, then the light goes dark even as the unit continues to record. This makes it impossible to confirm the recording is in progress once started, or if the battery has died! Speaking of the battery, there is no state of charge indicator which is annoying. Definitely not intended for making critical recordings.I was expecting the 125/128GB capacity to be false because it's a ridiculously large amount of space for compressed WAVs, but testing the unit with H2Testw shows that the device actually does have this much onboard flash. It's no good as a USB drive though, as the transfer speeds don't exceed a few MB/s.This made me really appreciate the Samsung voice recorder, a free app which blows away this device in every way save for being inconspicuous. Records calls, multiple local parties, add bookmarks and tags, generate automatic transcripts with search, real time translation, and ability to immediately review, trim and share all with a few taps is just not something a standalone unit can match.This device may be good if you absolutely need a "spy" recorder, perhaps if working undercover for the cops, although in that case I recommend scratching off the large "Voice Recorder" label on the side of the device.I think many of my complaints can be addressed by adding a small OLED display with a few extra buttons. The display can have basic menus for settings and to show recording state with battery level which would go a long way in making the unit more usable.
