Good little unit for small LED projects.I am using one as a bench test/prototyping supply and another installed into a small WLED project.I haven't tested them for stability nor can I speak to the longevity of them at this point but for the price point, they make for a nice alternative to wall wart supplies for low voltage LED projects.

Blew with a big pop when running a 12V - 100W PTC fan for a proofing oven I built. Since came as a 2 pack, the other one seems fine for now. But worried won't last. Hopefully just got a bad one of two.

I wanted the 24V version of this product to see if it will be suitable for use as part of a digital power supply project that I’m currently working on. These are packed nicely and you do get two pieces as stated in the product description. Upon unboxing they appear premium and are nicely built, at least externally speaking. The input and output terminal screws are protected under their respective plastic shields to adequately prevent accidental shock. I was easily able to connect a fused, grounded, lighted switch module to the input screws and subsequently detected stable DC voltage on the output side. So, these power supply units are well built and certainly appear to work within tolerance.I was curious to see exactly how well these power supply modules perform, so I ran some basic tests with a calibrated Siglent Technologies SDM3045X bench-top multimeter. As expected, these clock-in at slightly under 24V DC as their internals will generally need up to 300mV to meet their own voltage requirements. This is simply the case with nearly all switching power supplies secondary to their design methodology. Fortunately, the numbers were closer to 23.9V-DC vs. the expected 23.7V-DC. There was some slight drifting in the voltage even with filtering being turned “on” and using a “medium” refresh. The drift was expectedly more pronounced when using a “faster” refresh rate. Although nominal, this would align with the minimally anticipated AC ripple effect. Although both grounded, I opted to pass on running an AC Coupling test with my oscilloscope as I already saw exactly what I pretty much expected, better actually. As for the rated 5A, I didn’t want to physically open these up to only inspect the transformer. As another reviewer did inspect the transformer on their 12V [sic] variant, they reported finding the transformer marked as “8.5A.” So, expecting 5A out of my 24V [sic] variant is reasonable. I don’t believe that this was a way to overstate the specifications as this one reviewer opined, but rather provide a maximum control current of 10A in lieu of a slightly lower voltage. After all, DC Power in Watts = Volts x Amps. So, with all things being equal and expecting a 60W output, the voltage (V) will be inversely proportional to the amps (A). So, realistically speaking you would expect to see a slightly lower voltage when using “Control Current” (CC) and the exact opposite when using “Control Voltage” (CV). Let’s also not forget that the actual voltage will be slightly lower than the number specified due to the internal power supply component needs. With regard to the 24V version, we would just double the wattage to an expected 120W (24V x 5A) and could theoretically substitute 23.7V to 23.9V for the anticipated realistic voltage. Either way, 5A absolutely seems viable and easy to do, so I would expect a transformer capable of delivering just that. It’s definitely better than my current 3A rated lab power supply!Ultimately, I like these little power supplies a lot as they’re compact, well built, and work exactly as expected. Additionally, having eight different forms of protection make these highly desirable for power regulation projects. Finally, these are an outstanding value as you even get two pieces! So, that said, I highly recommend this product!

My old power supply got a leaking capacitor, then it creates interference to my security cameras. That is the reason of bought these compact size power supplies. Wiring is easy, I quickly put them into services. My room temperature is 30℃, when it loads 4.5A its temperature is 42.5℃. When its loading current reduced to 2.0A, then its temperature reading is 32.5℃. Its voltage is stable. I wish they could last longer than my old power supply which almost functioned 4 years.

The size of these power supplies are really aiding in reducing the constraints of where they can fit. The more options I have for potential install spots is making that job easier. These are roughly the same size as a standard troffer light ballast. 8-3/4" x 1-7/8" x 1-1/8" is its size and that is almost half the size of the common rectangular shaped power supplies. If you were powering a 2815 LED strip which has 60 LED's per meter, then it is around 9.36/m. A 5 meter strip would consume while rounding up the number to 50 watts. You could power 4 of those type strips with this power supply. If you are having long runs of these strips then you have to account for voltage drop, just avoid using dental floss gauge cabling. DC likes those welding type cables with fine strands. You can inject power for long runs in the middle, the ends and as well as just the start of the strips. The only thing I can gripe about is these are not UL listed. I do like how they fit more compactly with my installs though.

It's Amp output is only 10A I need one with more amperage. This one is good for low Amp circuits.

I'm an electronics novice, but I'm handy enough to know how to use a multimeter, understand the difference between A/C & D/C, know red goes to red, black to black, etc. That said, getting started with this power supply was a tiny bit more work than I was used to, but that isn't a fault. This power supply doesn't come with a "socket" that you'd typically just plug a power cord into. Instead, you'll need to strip & feed in some raw wires, or some small enough spade terminals that will fit. I chose to do the first route, by using an old power cable, cutting off the end, stripping the individual wires and feeding them in. I have an assortment of spade terminals, but even the 22-16 AWG ones are too large to fit in the spacing in this PSU. Not an issue, just an observation.Once I confirmed I hadn't burned my house down, and no sparks flew, I wired the other end to a set of LED strips just to make sure the output was providing power correctly, and I was happy to see they were! I then put a multimeter on both sides. AC input, plugged into an extension cord in my garage, is showing 124VAC, and then an output of 23.4VDC, which is to be expected as there's a small bit of loss when you convert AC to DC.Now that I know these work as expected, I'll be using them for various projects that require a bench power supply. I will very likely 3D print an enclosure and convert these into a bench power supply that I can plug into with banana plugs, powerpoles or screw-down terminals.Overall, very happy with the size, form factor, weight and ease of use of these little guys! I will be grabbing some 12V ones to help with some ham radio projects I have as well.
