Why 2 stars? Because I made it work!I was excited when I saw this product. Everything I needed to get going for my Badland ZXR12000 Harbor Freight old winch. However, my wires immediately started to melt. Mine has 3 posts on top and one on the bottom to go to the negative (-) battery. Wired it following the pretty wiring diagram in it.I fixed this from an online post. I've noticed people complaining that the only (-) negative on the solenoid is A BATTERY POSITIVE (+) WTH. Sure enough, I tried it, and it started to work.Wiring: For winches with 3 posts on top and one on the bottom.1. M1 and M2 is for the yellow and black posts (top 2 on the winch, see pic).2. 3rd post red wire on the winch pic by itself goes to the positive (+) of the solenoid.3. You guessed it, the negative (-) on the solenoid is battery positive (+) and goes directly from the solenoid to the battery with the remote red wire.4. The negative (-) from the bottom of the winch goes directly to the battery negative (-). You need to wire the negative remote cable from the cover box to this negative terminal.5. Find missing screws that should've come with it or use zip ties. Also, WHY are we missing the screws for the cover and the ones that bolt the solenoid inside of the box? No negative cable for the battery for the bottom post (buy your own). Man it looks good and I wanted to like!!!

You get exactly what is in the picture. Witch is now enough to assemble it out get it to work. It's missing the ground wire and the bolts to hold the solenoid in the box.

The photo is from the listing for the 12V 500A Winch Solenoid Relay Kit. The battery and winch cables I got are exactly what is in the photo. The three pin inlet on the Contactor Box is to receive your winch controller output wires, that's my guess anyway. Some reviewers on other seller listings had problems with the remotes and the wireless receiver setup. So I intend to take great care when I install the 12V 500A Winch Solenoid Relay Kit. A couple of reviewers had mishaps with the activation of the winches. It is probably a good idea to disconnect the hots using a switch when winch is not being used. With something handling this much power it is best to just disconnect. It is best to make sure the remotes are flawlessly working before risking life and limb.
