The bottle stands inside the base and the top is just placed on top. So if something bumps the table, the whole thing might fall over. The base on ours did fall and crack and was no longer safe to use the lamp

I wish I had more great things to say about this product, it DOES work as descripted and is a lovely color top to bottom however.... the plastic holder is thin and the light in the base can be seen in through it which is not ideal. The worst element is how cloudy the liquid is containing the wax.. it ruins the floating illusion lava lamps are known for.I had hoped after several hour the cloudiness would settle but three days in and it never did. I ended up giving it (and more) to a family who were having a difficult time affording Christmas gifts so it wouldn't end up in a landfill, I'm sure the child it went to will enjoy it but it was useless for the video I was producing with it. It's really too bad because the wax color and case color was gorgeous, but the execution didn't live up to the proposal of what the product was supposed to look like in action.

I can’t seem to find just a clear/green lava lamp from the official company.. so I figured this will do.. it heats up fast and the color is beautiful. My only complaint is that it gets SCARILY hot… which is worrisome since the top piece & base is plastic.. So maybe keep that in mind.

Light bull was broken so it was not usable. My husband threw the whole lamp away bc I couldn’t find replacement bulb. Our son was super sad about it

Bought this for my mother for her 66th birthday! She was like a kid in a candy store ! Perfect gift ! Takes a bit to warm but up looks super cool once moving.

Just what my son wanted. Is light weight, but had seen one before. We knew what we were getting ahead of time. Needs to be in a semi secure spot so it will not get knocked off.
