These cake drums are important when trying to decorate large, heavy, multi-layer cakes. I've gotten myself in trouble when I haven't used a strong, solid foundation to build my cakes upon, so I started these wedding cakes with GoldenBakeryFamily 14" drums as the base level. Doing this it allowed me to move the cake just before putting the finishing touches of frosting around the bottom without damaging the cake.With this wedding reception, I had to cover the drums with tin foil because the bride said, "No!" to anything gold I'd suggested. Then, I covered the tinfoil on the groom's cakes with lace paper doilies, and I carried the wedding cake out to the reception area and carefully set it onto a huge, round glass mirror on the dessert table before adding the last touches. I did add the platters under the two groom's cakes because the forms sat tight on them for carrying purposes.Every cake on the table in my pictures is a four-layer cake, with filling in between the layers. All three of these have the GoldenBakeryFamily drums under them and there was no "shifting" during the cake cutting. These cake drums performed perfectly and held the weight without any dents, dings, or bends. It's hard to repair or replace and "event" cake should damage occur at the last moment; I highly recommend these convenient, solid, good looking drum boards by GoldenBakeryFamily and think they are well worth the price!

Works perfect for my cake boxes. These boards are strong and sturdy. I love the gold color. These are a must have for any baker. This is excellent value for the money. I would order more. This makes a good gift for the bakers in your life.

I make gingerbread houses every year and also have a gingerbread house decorating party during the Christmas season. I have used these types of boards for the houses and they work really well to hold a heavy house without bending. And my guest love how their houses look on the gold covered circles. I used to cover my own cake boards, which is a time waster and a pain so, I was very happy to find these pre-covered boards. Saves time and works so much better.

These cake boards are amazing! Very sturdy and handled a mountainous road for a wedding with ease (inside a cake box of course!) Can be used in the freezer as well as fridge if necessary. While I didn't use the included banners, they're pretty neat to have as well. Overall, very pleased with them and highly recommend!

These boards are super thick. The foil has a very pretty design on them holds up the cake very well. Love the addition of the cake toppers that say celebrate in very different number colors
