304 stainless steel, tested with a magnet to verify that it has a weak magnetic pull. Exactly 1/4 x 12" x 12". Edges are a bit sharp but clean cut, light sanding/filing was an easy fix. Small side dents that look to have been made in shipping, plate is unbent and flat otherwise. Would say if you need it in absolute perfect condition to ask for more cushion in the shipping box, but not much the postal service can do to harm this thing beyond use.
