I would consider this medium duty screen. Good for large insects and small rodents. Flattening the roll was tough. It had a zig-zag wave over it's length. A half dozen waves with a 2" offset. The only way I could get it out was to stretch it, and it had to stay stretched or the waves returned. Two of the parallel edges were bound but the other two were not making it very easy to pull wires out of it. I have the impression if you cut a piece out without binding the edges it would be very easy to pull it apart. It looks like if you needed to staple/secure around an opening to keep large insects/snakes/birds out it would work. If you need a sifting screen or keep large rodents out I would look for something with a .6 -.7mm wire.
