Looked at it, didn't plug it in, been a bit ill. Can't use it anyway as I haven't received my microscope which is why I purchased it. Been missing for 18 days. Oh well. Will wait outcome from Amazon.

I'm really pleased with this LED ringlight. It replaces a similar ringlight using a fluorescent ring bulb; the 2 year old bulb had dimmed and was due to be replaced. I decided to go with the LED fixture instead. It is well made and remains cool while operating. I currently set it at about 2/3 intensity level on my stereo microscope. My hobby is servicing vintage watches.Highly recommended.

Brightness is more than sufficient for my casual (non research) use. The length of the power adapter line is 4 feet. The price was the lowest among these ring light with this number of LED elements. Dimming works as described. Seemingly this was new in Amazon and I took a chance when there was no review to read. My previous LED Ring Light from a popular LED ring light brand had an issue at power plug port with the Ring Light body though it was pretty old.

My existing AmScope FRL8-A 8W Microscope Fluorescent Ring Light measured only 1,000 Lux at 1 foot away. This 144 LED Ring Light drew 200mA at 12 VDC producing only ~2.4 watts but measured ~10,000 Lux at 1 foot. Great replacement Microscope LED Ring Light.
