This is what showed up. It was not what I was expecting & doesn’t even resemble the product photo or the photos other people had posted. Definitely not worth the price.

This is a small bag of mulch. If you have larger reptiles, you'd need several bags in order to have enough bedding, but one bag is probably enough for a 5-10 gallon sized enclosure.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Product received is nothing like pictured or described. Product came in unlabeled vacuum bag with sticker that says tree bark. Contents is sopping wet, torn up bark chucks. Not cypress much as described.

This worked great for my ball python. It was clean upon inspection and has been doing its job like the other cypress mulch in his enclosure!

I used this in my Ball Python's enclosure. I mixed it with his existing substrate, a top soil/playsand mixture. it has definitely helped keep the humidity up, as the soil/sand mix just wasn't doing the job. This was easy to add in and looks great mixed into the substrate. The bag was much smaller than I expected, but once opened and mixed in it's actually the perfect amount of additive for my 40-gallon equivalent sized enclosure.the mix itself was clean, I examined it closely for any unwanted extras like nails, plastic, or string - it's free from any impurities. It was quite moist when I received it, and I didn't put it in for a couple weeks - when I opened the bag it was still moist and fresh, it smells earthy but it's nice.Overall, totally happy with this quality substrate. I like it SO much better than coconut chunks because it looks like it's more pleasant to slither across than chunky wood bits. My snake hasn't changed his habits since adding it, still a 10/10 eater, this hasn't impacted his behavior in any way. he recently shed and it was flawless, I credit this mulch in keeping the humidity perfect for his easy shed.10/10 - thank you!

This product came in an unmarked bag, which is a bit strange, considering the product photo has an informational label on it. Otherwise, this is pretty nice substrate. It’s very similar to what you’d find at any large chain pet store and came nice and moist and smells very fresh and natural. I only got a small bag to top my turtle’s old substrate and it mixes in perfectly. It retains moisture nicely and helps mask any pee scents. My turtle enjoyed burrowing in it. I would definitely consider buying a bigger bag after my turtle’s substrate needs fully replaced! Also none of the pieces seemed sharp or jagged, so that’s good!
