This socket set is the perfect companion for any mechanic. This set comes in handy working on German cars. I'm happy with the sizes that are included as well as the great price. These are very durable and I haven't noticed any wear on them from my use over the past couple of months. The case is nicely organized and small in size. You can't go wrong with this set!

This is a handy little set of e-torx sockets. I don't run into the need for the female version of these as often as the male version so I was looking for an inexpensive set because this is one of those tools that when you need it, nothing else will work. For the price these are very nice and should last the average DIYer or shade tree mechanic quite a while.

I have far more standard (hex-head) bolts around my home and cars than Torx, but when you do have to work with this type of bolt, this is an outstanding set. My brother has a van that uses quite a few of these so I actually wound up giving it to him because he has far more use for them than I do. He agreed with me that they are solid. He said they grip well, and although they're not quite as deep in some applications as he would like, they get the job done. Because he said they have slipped off on occasion, I did give 4 stars. However, we both agree on the quality and strength of the composition. Even just comparing them to my standard socket set, you can tell they're made of higher-quality material. If you work with Torx, this is a very handy set to have around.

These are a really nice set of E-TORX (female torx) sockets. They are chrome vanadium steel which is what most impact sockets are made of so they should be strong and last a long time. The sockets are well made with the size stamped on the side so it will never wear away and it has a satin nickel-plated finish which should offer better long term rust protection than the black finishes on most impact sockets. It's a 14-piece set which is larger than most sets you'll find and decreases the chance you'll have to buy individual sockets to supplement this set, more sockets the better the chance you'll have the one you need when you need it. My assessment of these sockets is that they are very good quality and will last a very long time. These may not be Snap-on but a Snap-on set this size would be at least 250 bucks and if Snap-on is a 10 out of 10 I'd give these an 8 out of 10. For the Price this 14-pc set in a decent tight fitting case is a Grand Slam Home Run.

This is a review of the OXURBAE E TORX Socket Set. E TORX sockets are designed to be used on bolts and nuts that utilize the TORX form on the outer tool engagement surface of the hardware. The TORX form is less likely to deform under high torque conditions and thus the fastener is less likely to be rounded off than a conventional hexagonal form. This E TORX socket set consists of 14 individual sockets presented in a blow-molded red HDPE fitted case with a single latch and a self-hinge. The location of each socket in the case is labelled with a raised identification formed in the polymer. These tools are forged of Chromium-Vanadium alloy steel which must be heat treated after forging and machining are complete. The Chromium-Vanadium alloy steel is employed for hardness, tensile strength, toughness, fine-grain structure of the steel, and finally, wear resistance. After the forging process, the steel forgings would be finish-machined, heat treated, and finally, finish ground, polished, and the final finishing process completed to resist the possibility of corrosion. Each socket is roll-marked with the socket’s size (e.g., E10 or E22), “CHROME VANADIUM” which is the steel alloy the sockets are forged from, and a ring of short grooves around the diameter of the tool to provide additional grip to the user. This E TORX socket set has 14 individual sockets that use three different drive sizes, ¼”, ⅜”, and ½” depending upon the size of the socket and the corresponding torque force values they might experience. The size of the sockets for each drive size are listed below. • 1/4" Drive Sockets Include: E4, E5, E6, E7, E8 • 3/8” Drive Sockets Include: E10, E11, E12, E14, E16 • 1/2” Drive Sockets Include: E18, E20, E22, E24These E TORX sockets appear to be very well made and finished. They have a thick socket wall so failure under stress should never be an issue. The sockets have a smooth matte finish and no defects were observed with any of the sockets. It is unfortunate that the blow-molded case is created with a self-hinge because that hinge design will fail as the polymer ages and the case is opened and closed. If the case had a two-piece design with a true hinge it would last as long as the tools themselves. That said, I am still happy with this set of tools and the price-point of the set makes it just that much more attractive.

I own an older Jeep Wrangler. If you own an older Jeep you either need to learn to turn wrenches on it or expect to pay quite a bit for repairs. Jeep engineers have made some wacky decisions regarding this vehicle, including the use of torx-head bolts in really inconvenient places. I ended up having to buy a small set of these for a single job, but I wanted better quality than the auto parts store brand. When I saw these I had to try them. They arrived in their case wrapped in plastic. It includes the sockets themselves and the case.First off, these sockets have a decent amount of weight to them. I don't know the metal composition, but they don't feel overly cheap. The fit and finish is excellent, I don't see any burrs or signs of cheap construction. The case is nice except the latch; it's one of those that relies on a flimsy plastic tab to hold it closed and these normally break with enough use.Overall I'm happy with these sockets, except the case, and at least I can rest easy knowing that the next job I have that needs a torx socket I'll probably have one that works.I recommend!
