The illustrations and detailed product description for this product is a bit confusing. This set is in fact plastic stencils or templates for adding Sashiko embroidery to your craft or garment. The work is simple but precision is key for a genuine look of Japanese Sashiko. Written within the product descriptions is details on another product, stick on water soluble one-time-use templates for the same results. I feel that the plastic stencils are a better value in that they can be used multiple times and can be used in a much larger presentation when the design is transferred as a duplicate. I will be using these plastic stencils to teach my granddaughter embroidery basics. These stencils are great all around: the material these are made from is strong and durable yet pliable enough to manipulate should you need to. The included patterns are numerous and are every possible pattern I've come across in this fashion.You get a lot of patterns in this order. This is a great price for such variety!
