I purchased this to replace the spring on my lawn mower. This was supposed to be the one I needed. It fit well but unfortunately it broke the first time I tried mowing my lawn.

The spring was not what was pictured at all. Much much smaller. Just as some of the other reviews stated… I was able to make it work by bending one end out a bit with some needle nose pliers. Definitely not a stock replacement for a Honda GCV160, but can work with some modification.

Overextended my original gov spring on some low lying branches causing low rev speed at fast setting. Replaced with OEM spring that fixed the problem. I received fast delivery and another smooth transaction, thank you Amazon/seller.

Too short for GCV 160 Honda lawn mower. Revved way too high. Ordered a Honda part- we will see how that one works

The spring as shipped was almost an inch too short. I rebent it but it still was about 1/4 inch too short - not enough shank to make a good U bend. The spring lenght is critical for proper governor idle setting. Please post actual length of engine parts in the future.Thanks

It puts too much tension on the governor and will cause the mower to rev way too fast. Avoid
