I like this better than the other mid ship, rail cleats. The others have the tightening “wheel” on top if the cleat, not below like this one. High quality, great design.

These aren't really a tight fit until you tighten down the screw holds. I wanted to add a midship cleat to my old American sailboat, as I only had bow and stern cleats which made it a pain to dock single handed. I really didn't want to drill new fittings, and I had a genoa track along the toerail already. I found it really hard to tell if this would fit, as I could find this (25mm) and on other sites the same part number was listed as 1-1/8". I think it will fit the full range. It's secure but not tight until you tighten the clamp screw, and then it does exactly what I wanted! No drilling!

Well made. For my track I needed about a mm more height for it to slide properly so I had to modify
