Item keeps the trolling motor from sticking out over the bow which can damage it. The only other thing that I did was make a threaded hole to lock it while retracted using the same wing screw that’s used for locking it deployed.

The install is easy if you have the right tools. The ability to remove the trolling motor is a game changer. Now I can take the trolling motor off while I'm traveling through sketchy places or just to keep it out of the weather over the winter. I added a thick plastic cutting board to help over the lip edge on my boat. But as shown it looks and works perfectly. Good valu for the money and a good fit for my boat.
