So glad I researched the need for this adapter before ordering new Evap Vent Valve Solenoid. You'll need this because the older wiring harness has a different type plug on a 2004 Chev Suburban.

This was an adaptor wire harness to connect a new design vapor canister vent solenoid to the original wiring harness. Quick and easy direct fit.

Connector worked just how it should. You may believe that you can use the original connector as it kind of seems to fit into the Solenoid, but the original does not make the correct contacts. I added this connector and my engine code was cleared and did not return.
